And the End Falls Into Place · 8:45am Apr 8th, 2013
Returning Survivor is done. Not on hiatus, not discontinued, done. Which means it's time for me to start focusing on Past the Gates (prequel) and Demon Hunting Day (sequel), after I get Ghosts of the Past up of course. I'd like to thank all of you who've stuck with me so far, and welcome those who are new to the story, for your encouragement and reviews have been well received and enjoyed. I will give you a heads up though. Where Returning Survivor was humorous with bits of action and seriousness here and there, Past the Gates will be almost entirely serious (They're in Hell, how do you get more serious?) with action, sadness, and drama, while Demon Hunting Days will be more light-hearted, but still less so then Returning Survivor. Basically, I see it like this:
Past the Gates: The serious backstory, what helps define Mecha with the tragedy of what happened to his platoon.
Returning Survivor: His return to a "normal" life, where mishaps occur as he builds himself a home with friends, often in a humorous manner.
Demon Hunting Days: The hunt to keep his home safe, while dealing with the issues of the world. Most likely to include satire and hidden political views (aka, me being as subtle as I can with my own views by making plot points based around various institutions).
Basically, I see each story as three different kinds, each suited to a different audience. Therefore, I would not fell offended in any shape or form if you decided that you only wish to read Returning Survivor, and not the prequel or sequel. As I said, they will be less comedic, and most of you prefer that if your comments are any clue. I do ask that you give them a chance.
And finally, a question. Since most of you seem to like comedy, how many of you would be interested in reading about the exploits of the poker night group when they were drunk?
i will be tracking for when u release Demon Hunting Days... i love to kill a demon every once and awhile
