Right- when I mentioned that I'd pulled some statistics from seasons 1 & 2 for my latest chapter, a few of you were interested in knowing the exact details. So, I give you my results! For the record, I used a list from the MLP wiki and only counted those that had both a GENDER and RACE. This means that Chancellor Puddinghead, who was given a race, but no gender, wasn't counted while Princess Platinum, who was given both, was counted. Make sense? I also went ahead and recorded weather they were a foal or an adult. So, without further ado- my results!
Earth Ponies: 123 Stallions, 158 Mares, 8 Colts, 29 Fillies, 318 Total.
Unicorns: 41 Stallions, 73 Mares, 3 Colts, 8 Fillies, 125 Total.
Pegasi: 47 Stallions, 92 Mares, 4 Colts, 13 Fillies, 156 Total.
Alicorn: 0 Stallions, 4 Mares, 0 Colts, 0 Fillies, 4 Total.
Total Stallions: 226
Total Mares: 377
Total Foals: 65
Total Adults: 538
Total Ponies: 603 (Plus those not counted as mentioned above)
Percentages:
Male- 37%, Female 63%
Earth Ponies- 53%, Unicorns- 21%, Pegasi- 26% Alicorns- 1%*
Adults- 89% Foals- 11%
Stallions- 39%, Mares- 61%
Colts- 23%, Fillies- 77%
*Alicorn rounded up to 1%, actual percentage was .663%
well every guy gets about 2 girls so thats nice.
