Hey! Soo..... Just in case you didn't know about the whole Skull Girls/Fighting is Magic campaign....If you're like me and don't follow pony news too closely or check EQD...
My nephew is very invested in Skull Girls, the indie game being created by Lab Zero Games. (He's applying to be an animator on the project.)
I...actually don't know too much about it - except that there are girls fighting, often in scantily clad outfits, some in serious need of better supporting undergarments. Heh, and while I could technically complain about this, Felicia was one of my favorite characters in Dark Stalkers, sooooo I don't know where I stand on this issue...
ANYWAYS! If Skull Girls hits the $725,000 in funding, they...hold on, I'm horrible at any tech speak...lemme copy and paste from the Mane6 website:
"Putting things short, it goes like this.
If the Skullgirls indiegogo campaign reaches 725k USD, we (that's our devteam) are given a license to use their engine in our game for free, and to distribute the end product (The game, made in the Skullgirls engine)."
So! Donating to Skullgirls can give the Mane6 and the formerly known as "Fighting is Magic" game it's own engine!
If you wanna donate, here is the link. There's only 24 hours left to reach the $725K threshold so it benefits the "Fighting is Magic" (reboot?) game. ((Seriously, what are we calling the post-apocalyptic Fighting is Magic game?))
Oh, and cross your fingers that my nephew's application will be accepted to work on this game - he's really hyped about it.

Edit: Holy, where does all this money come from? Last night, they needed about $50,000 to meet the threshold, and today they broke through it! Ahem, ahem....I like to think I single-handedly helped out. LOL, yeah right. Anyways, yay!
