Criticized by BioChemicalWolfGear · 1:07am Mar 21st, 2013
I posted The Thoughts that Count in an HiE shipping folder, and was immediately commented by BioChemicalWolfGear. I don't know this guy, but according to his popularity on his page, he must be famous in FIMfiction.
He posted like 4 comments pointing out some major flaws in the story. Such as Ike's knowledge of alicorns, his parents, the cliche fact of a loner in Equestria.
Yeah, a loner self-insert in Equestria is pretty cliche. But look at GeodesicDragon's To X is Human series. It too features a self-insert and it's wildly popular according to his rates and followers.
So in summary, I don't care what BioChemicalWolfGear says. To prove my point here's Peter Griffin. Peter if you please...
Thank you Peter. And as for you guys. Please leave a comment or something.
You wouldn't want me to flip out again now would you?
Bro that's kind of weak.
Normally when people write such comments is it because that there is something behind the. But that does not mean that you should not read your comments as the truth. Do just think over what it is that this commenter points out, and think over if it is something that is true, something that you are capable of fixing, and are willing to change
Damn son.
At first when I read the blog, I was going to rant on how "You should take things like this with a grain of salt" and "Better for any criticism then no criticism at all", but now that I took a good look at what he actually said, well, now I understand.
I have to admit, he was kinda being a jerk. I mean, he was giving feedback, sure, but he didn't do it all in one comment and with a polite tone, balancing the negatives with the positives. No, instead he made multiple posts on how much he dislikes the story!
And that's bad.
That's real bad.
935198 If I fix it, I don't know what the reaction of my readers is going to be.
Possible answer: "Why does Ikemtz16 keep changing his story?"
I replied without thoughts in mind.
935190 I understand criticism, but critiques scare me... a lot

As a editor would I say that the answer is. "yes the writer have learned something new and now are the story better than before."
And there will always be some out there that dislike your stories, learn to live with it. I write and read Fo:E, one of the most hated sub-fandoms. Some like something, some donĀ“t.
And I understand why a new writer get some critique over his first story that is a self insert, they are some of the most hated fics after all, and need to be better than good to live out here
935206 Ya gots to suck it up man! It's the hate that makes us great (literally the worst way to say criticism is a good way to make us better.)
935252 Okay then.
Perhaps you'd like a review? I read very few fics, if any at all, but I'd be willing to give yours a view. Which basically means I'm procrastinating writing my own fic, but whatever :P
Critiques would come in PM form as they all should if you'd like my opinions.
And don't fear change; I'm on prologue number... Four now? And I've yet to hear anything from anyone about it.
