So I was doing some editing work on Rise of the Legend Chapter 001, and I got a little stuck on how to describe a particular part. It wouldn't be that difficult if not for the fact that I have no idea how I could do it in a way that's not absurdly in the "tell" category.

Well, as I was considering it, I counted the pages and I realized how much I had done in a half hour compared to how slow my pace has been recently...

And then I realized that I forgot to update you guys.

So, update: My pace has been much faster, and I'm thinking that I could probably get through a page and a half or more per day if I can keep this pace. Unfortunately, I find myself yawning now, and one of the problems I had with editing Rise of the Legend before was that I would be overcome with the urge to take a nap.

That... probably doesn't fill you with a whole lot of confidence for the first chapter, but trust me when I say that it has nothing to do with the story itself.

These naps are problematic in a couple ways. The first is that, of course, I only get a small amount of editing done during my writing time when they happen. The second is that they throw off my sleep schedule, which makes me come off my schedule overall and...

Well, that means I get nothing done.

So... yeah. I'm going to try to find some way to avoid napping for a few days. I think that, once I get used to not napping, my body will stop telling me to nap.

And, because I know I pretty much have to comment on it: I don't like the new site design. I could deal with everything else, but I really liked the notification system of the old site design and the new notification system just doesn't work for me.

Of course, I think that's just me and it's likely that most people will like it. I'm just not in that particular group of "most people."
