No computer, and basicaly no job, makes GMO very restless.

So i have no computer, my job has me on its payrole (no hours, no pay, no problem for them), and I'm on the hunt for a new job.

    How are all of you?

With so little going on for me, I have been thinking a lot about random things. Such as:
What is more preferd, saying DJ Pon-3 as "D J pony" or " D J Pon Three"?

My best work is from the 12th grade.

My writing teacher gave her students a project over the play Macbeth. I mostly liked one thing about the project:

    I had an interesting night

So Friday night, my cousin took me and one of his friends to the pool hall. For those who don't know, a pool hall is a bar with lots of pool tables. My cousin goes to play when ever he can, and learned that on Friday night it would be lonsharay night.:moustache:

I'm back... sort of... Top of interest time! Yay! · 6:01am Mar 18th, 2013

Okay ya'lls, I'm back... kinda.
So I've been gone for several reasons, one if which is writers block, and the newest is gun debates. I was surfing YouTube and became a little rapped up in the gun ban debates I found. Only, YouTubers can be a little dim. Not all mind you, but I would like to use what I found for both sides, and see what you all have to say about it. (My hope is that I'll get more logical arguments here than YouTube. Hope is the key word.)

Quick note for both sides:
Both are almost 100% driven by fear.
Fear of guns.
Fear of infringement.
Fear of government.
Fear of crime.
Fear of death.
And so on.

Pro gun ban/regulation:
Guns harm/kill
Guns are used in/for crimes, that is, more often for ill than good.
X stats of Y place and Z place say this about (gun deaths/gun crime/crime) rates. (Y is any place with gun bans, and Z is any place without)
What's the need for (damn near anything related to guns.)
(Sorry if I left out one of the good ones. I can't remember them all.)
Lower round mags makes it take longer and gives more opening for the shooter to be taken down.

Pro gun rights:
Guns save.
Guns aren't just for hunting, force, or defense, but also fun and collections.
Guns stop crimes. (Why would the police use them if that wasn't true?)
X stats of Y place and Z place say this about (crime) rates. (Y is any place without, and Z is any place with gun bans)
If guns are so deadly or inviting so much crime, why aren't high volume guns places (like guns shows, stores, clubs, shooting ranges, etc) loaded with crime?
Guns aren't the problem, the media making such people look like gods are.
Three ten round mags can be fired off in 16 seconds. 10 rounds + three mag swaps = 2 or more bullets a second.

I personally fund one for pro gun rights that was used so little, I'm not adding it in above, but will here. Looking at the USA's stats over a time frame of 19 years (1992 - 2011), violent crime has gone down about 50%, murders has gone down 54%, (unable to find the numbers again for this bit, sorry) gun production has gone up, and the number of new gun owners has gone up. (Then guy goes on to say, it's not guns, but the type of city you live in. Bigger and more populated ones invites higher rates.)

Now I have to go with pro gun rights on this. Why? Simply because I see more harm in not having a gun, than having one. Also, if you want me to trust you, then don't play number games with me. I see far too much of that on the pro gun ban side of things, I've been led to not trust them. I know at least some of the number tricks people like to use, and the most honest I've seen, is the one saying the USA has nothing to gain from a gun ban. (Mind you, I see it as the best with the least amount of fear tactics used.) If I had to come up with a way to stop mass shooting, I'd regulate the news so that least is said/shown/described about the shooter/killer/robber/etc. This will make them less willing to do the crime, for that they have less reward for doing so. (Mind you less, not no reason. Crime will always be there. Also note, I'm not saying to stop them from reporting, just not to say who, show who, or any of that. When the person is in jail, there is no need to know this. It just seems to glorify them, not inform.)

So what do you have to say about it? I'd like to hear some more sound debate than what I've seen on YouTube. Don't disappoint my brony brethren!

hmm... :ajsmug:
writers block you say... :ajsmug:
you have some workable material right here, in this arguement... :pinkiecrazy:

that is... if you need some :rainbowderp:

PS. i live in Canada, in a place where guns aren't a problem... yeah people have them... but it isn't a problem

Well I have two ideas to work on... another reason you all haven't seen me is most of my time is being taken up. I've been looking for a job, watching Star Trek with my grandma, and working on getting my old computer up to my new standards of par (after loosing my newer one to motherboard failure).

And so, you say that there isn't any problems there? I've talked with people from the USA, UK, Mexico, and Canada. I've yet to hear a "no problems" with guns up in Canada, till now. Here in the US we have 88% of the countries population capable of having one gun each... and things like cars, knives, plains, and even unarmed related deaths are more common than with a fire arm. Yet US citizens say guns a major factor in deaths. I've tried to look things up myself (I'm piss poor at doing so) and the only truth to that I found, is that guns are used more often for suicides. People want to keep comparing the US to the UK and other gun ban/regulated places... but these are different countries, with different looks on life, and different systems of care.

If people are insane, then they will be insane. With or without guns. I also just remembered some more points to add. Pro gun ban, lower round mags makes it take longer and gives more opening for the shooter to be taken down.:rainbowhuh: Pro gun rights, (This is something I've SEEN) three ten round mags can be fired off in 16 seconds. 10 rounds + three mag swaps = 2 or more bullets a second. (Bigger opening my ass).:rainbowlaugh:

Any way it's good to hear form you. Good to hear that guns aren't some scary monster in Canada for once too. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. And sorry for the length.:twilightsheepish:
