So...how 'bout those blogs. · 2:49am Mar 12th, 2013
This is my first blog. What do I do?
Sure, I could sit here and ramble on about how I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing, but that wouldn't really be all the fun to read, would it? I haven't really read blogs on this website before. Is it like Facebook where I just update you ever now and then about my life, or in this case my writing? Or is this like Twitter, where I mindlessly spam you with hundreds of hash-tags followed by the acronym YOLO (I have much less respect for Twitter, could you tell?)?
I guess I could start with thanking all my followers and other readers. You guys make me feel great when I receive positive feedback on my stories (as opposed to making me feel good for getting bad feedback I guess). I really hope you enjoy my newest updates on Love and Music (which I think I tagged below, not really sure how this works) and hopefully some more stories in the future, namely my newest work Love's Protector, which I will now proceed to go on about.
Love's Protector is the story of Shining Armor and Princess Cadence (also possibly linked below). I know what you're thinking, "But Slade, that story has been done so many times that it lost its value." Here's my thing about that: I haven't read them, so I can pretend they don't exist. I can pull one of those philosophy things where I'm like "Well I can't see it, so I can't be sure it exists," but I don't think I should. Someone reading this could very well have written a story like that, and the next thing you know, I'm getting hate messages (I know that wouldn't happen, but I can pretend like people care that much) and then people are saying that I'm worse than Hasbro.
So, I got kind of off topic there. Anyway, the story is about Shining Armor and Cadence. Basically it's going to take you through their story of meeting, first date, first kiss, etc, etc, so on, and so forth. I got the idea for writing a real love story (because let's face it, Love and Music really isn't a happy love story) from The Next in Line, which has quickly made its way to being my favorite fanfic.
As much as I hate to end this abruptly, Pawn Stars is on and Rick and Corey are arguing about the Beatles, so I need to go. Thanks for reading my pointless banter!
