I've made a startling insight into how our fandom works. Especially on one key point. Now, this is probably going to shock most of you so you might want to sit down for this.
People... don't like Prince Blueblood.
Shocking, isn't it?!
It's kind of for a good reason though, since he's sort of, kind of a colossal douche. Then again you could say the same for Trixie, Gilda, Discord, Chrysalis, Flim and Flam. And except for the last one (maybe) we've consistently made backstory and redemption fics for all of them.
Blueblood's no exception I guess, but I can only name like... two or three redemption stories of his off the top of my head. The best night ever, which is the Groundhog Day loop one, the prince and the workhorse which I've never read. Then there's the one where he does farm work to learn to be a better stallion to win Rarity over.
And of course I have to look into the whole shipping aspect, which is very limited when it comes to this guy. Most people ship him with Rarity if they ever do, but I do know there are people who ship him with Trixie (the two braggarts, hah.) I'm sure there are people who ship him with Big Mac, though I've never seen anything like that, which goes the same for people shipping him with Twilight.
Anyway, the Tl;DR version is that I'm already half finished with a Red Archive for Twilight X Blueblood (both of them are swapped, which I'll explain when I post it). So there's that.

Actually, I don't mind Bluey. It's actually Flim and Flam I don't really like. Other than them and, in a slightly less-so fashion, Gilda... I don't have a problem with the villains.
Gilda's a bitch and the FFBros were scheming assholes.
Trixie? Full of herself, but she's in showbiz. Kinda have to be so to make it big.
Bluey? He's a prince. Most princes in fantasy are snobs, unless they're the Prince Charming in the story.
Chrysalis? She just wants to take good care of her children... her entire species. So what if they feed on love or not? It'd be just the same if Celestia were to invade the Grass Kingdom or the Flower Kingdom and start feeding on them with the ponies all helping themselves. The only reason why Chrysalis is a villain, is because she did it in such a way that wasn't beneficial to all sides. If she'd contacted Celestia and Luna, and asked for permision to integrate into Pony Society, I'm sure it would have been a much different story.
I still am waiting for the Twixie Red Archive.

Yeah, that's still not good. Cause now with this I actually like making one shot stories instead of additions to other stories. Honestly, I find the pacing for the Twixie chapter to be better without the implication that there could be another scene that got cut out.
Maybe I'll eventually get off my ass and fix it for posting purposes, so we'll see.

Well, if you like Blueblood Redmeption stories, then you can't get any better than "The Color You Bleed"
It's dark, but I have yet to read a better story.
As for Twilight/Blueblood pairings... Although it's kind of a subplot, "The Return Of Princess Nightmare Moon" was awesome. Kind of a redemption for him there too.
