Fluttershy, The Changeling

I was just thinking about the numerous X is a Changeling stories, and who COULD BE a Changeling. Then it dawned on me.

Fluttershy.

For a Changeling to infiltrate another species, they would need a universal translation center of the brain.
She talks to animals.

Changelings have thin, compound wings. Useful for hovering, not flying.
She has trouble with flying, but she hovers A LOT.

From what I've read, Changelings tell each other apart from ponies while disguised with their horn. They supposedly lose the ability to tell other Changelings, as well as be recognized by other Changelings if their horn is broken.
Fluttershy has no horn.

From what else I've read, Changelings have a semi-hive mind. They can think for themselves, but their thoughts are shared with the entire hive, and vice-versa. Losing their horn breaks this connection. Suddenly being blocked off from everyone you ever knew, hearing silence from the swarm for the first time in your life, would be terrifying.
Fluttershy is constantly scared.

Horns are a bone, or, in the case of Changelings, Chitin. That means that breaking them off HURTS. A LOT. More for a Unicorn than a Changeling, as they have more nerve endings in the horn, but the shock from having it could cause mental stress. That stress could cause amnesia, explaining why Fluttershy wouldn't know she was a Changeling. It's a stretch, but a possibility.

It's not much of an argument, but it would explain how she COULD be, more than any other of the Mane 6.

So I'm saying Fluttershy was a Changeling, broke her horn, the shock made her forget who she was. She goes to Ponyville, makes a disguise, becomes the shy town hermit, and forgets she is a changeling over the years. She becomes a shy and gentle, but loving and protective pegasus... and no one ever knows...

Point of contention: Fluttershy was in Flight Camp with Rainbow Dash. Therefore, she could need to be a young Changeling with a broken horn, and she had wound up in Cloudsdale before moving to Ponyville. A minor quibble, but an important one.
