Hi, everypony! So I popped my MLPFIM Season One box set into the PS3 for the first time today as I cooked some dinner and had some . . . interesting observations—not the least of which is that four scrambled eggs pan-fried omelet-style with pepperjack cheese, pepperoni, and Greek seasoning into a sort of "egg pizza" is freakin' lando.
Anyhow, seeing the series premiere for the first time since writing Lost Legacies impressed upon me just how much my world-building for the story has changed my perspective on the main series. I haven't really gotten to those parts of the story yet, but I wonder if Lost Legacies will have this very effect on its readers as it nears completion. Is that a good thing? Well, for me it turned the series premiere from a simple tale about friendship and good vs. evil into the tail-end of a century-spanning tragedy fraught with gray-on-gray morality. I don't see why I can't enjoy it on both levels. :)
As to the blog title, check out this moment of strangeness:
Okay, remember this part where Twilight has a gut bulge from overeating at Sweet Apple Acres? Well, it seems like a simple visual gag, but her gut stays right where it is as the scene continues, even after the joke has passed.
Then she gets hit by Rainbow Crash . . .
And when she gets up from the mud, SHAZAM!
Does this explain the near-perfect physical condition of everypony in Equestria with the sole exception of Snips? Poor guy, he must be immune to the high-speed cure.
