Going to give it one more week... [Rant] · 10:12am Mar 5th, 2013
Update: Working on further details before reposting my story.
I am going to give my story one more week to get get a few upvotes. Sadly it just seems that people want me to hand out all the past details of the OC before even trying to push the story along. Where are those people who like suspense in their OC fanfics. Am I the only one here who understands the power of flashbacks and the idea to set the pace in the first chapter that will be your pace throughout the rest of the story? It makes me sad that people on here jump the gun and assume that just because I have the OC's in my Da account and they are related, that means they will be in the story. Okay they have a point there, I guess I am just a bit pissed at-the-moment, but this story had nothing to do with his kids, infact it was going to end sometime around him and his future wife falling in-love with each-other.
When it came to naming my Main OC, I tried my best to stick close to canon naming skills even if it meant I would get stuck with a silly name. Besides, Spike is hardly ground breaking, and my OC is called Slash because the small spike at the end of his tail "slashed" Celestia's bed up a bit. She had a giggle and decided to name him Slash for the fun of it. This is Celestia we are talking about here. She would rather smile then be serious all the time.
I am still currently writing the next chapter to the story anyway. If things end up with me being forced to rewrite the story for those who need more back-story then I should go ahead and do that. Though now the story will have points where he will simply repeat the past chapters as he tells his story to somepony. Do I wish more people told me what they thought was wrong with my story, sure. Does not seem to be happening anytime soon though. As for my account linked to my Da account, well I am cutting that out until I can we work the OC kids. To be honest, I wrote them knowing they were a bit Mary Sue, but I had never thought I would write a fanfic about them so I thought it would be fine. However, now that I am, they need major over-haul... I mean I used Black, Red, and Orange for the Triplets color scheme! That can never work in a good fanfic. Okay, enough of me ranting, I guess I am done for now.
