Question to all Readers · 6:31am Feb 24th, 2013
Alright, so I'm having this blog post up for one reason and one reason only. I want you guys to answer honestly and truthfully because quite frankly I want know.
"Do you think Ponyfall: Rainbows is bad? Like you read it only because it's Ponyfall and that's it? Or do you read it because it seems interesting?"
Personally, I think it sucks because dislikes keep piling up on top of me and I think I should revise some chapters. What do you guys think?
'Piling up'? There are only... pfft, excuse my poking fun at reality but there are 69 dislikes. This is just about the worst of your problems. An innuendo. Keep up what I consider to be good work. Oh, and moustache
I actually stopped reading all the ponyfall's because very little has even happened and it's been a ridiculous amount of time, everything moves so slowly.
I honestly don't have any problem with it at all, except for the slow pace, but that's to be expected of a collaborative effort.
People are mainly going to dislike Ponyfall on principle of it being a Self-Insert, even though from what I understand the POV characters are only loosely based on the authors.
I don't find any problem with it at all except the slow pace and lack of anything really happening
The only story I've ever read that was a super hyped up story, was MLD. I read your story because I wanted to. Just lik I wanted to read the CMC one that I haven't even started yet.
Like everyone said, it's good but slow paced.
The general consciences seems to be that the speed in which it updates is the main, if not only, problem with the story itself. And even then, it can be forgiven considering you have a life and aren't being payed to do it or anything and life comes first. So all in all, don't worry about the dislikes, they aren't enough to worry about, though continue to work on it when you have a chance.
I absolutely hate your story Silverness, why can't your character be more like that really cool guy that's writing about Applejack, I mean damn dude! lol jk, yours was the first one I read, I just need your punkass to update faster.

Ah, I see now. I realized that too, which is why the next chapters will be a day each since they are weekends.
862893 Yer damn straight they is. Mmmmhmmm.
Silverness, my bro, I think Rainbows could be better, but at the same time there is no such thing as a "perfect story." I am here to help you out man, but I can't do that very well if you don't include me for anything but grammer fixing. I am your editor, but I am also a here to help you write and come up with ideas when you need it, like I did with "Mobile is Magic" (even though Slorg went in and edited off half of the good bits). But dude, if you want the story to get better, we need to COLABORATE here. If you're stuck and see me on Skype, throw me a message and I'll help you out man. That's why I asked to help you in the first place.

I think the only reason I got in to this series at all was because I was following Fullmetal Pony. That said, I continue to enjoy reading the entire series today.
My issues with it stem from the odd way I have of starting a character story. It's based on how they are mentioned in story or if I read something else by that author and notice they are in PonyFall.
Sadly this has rendered the following read order for me:
CMC's
Celestia
Pinkie Pie & Fluttershy
Rainbow Dash
Discord
Twilight Sparkle
*and here's the kicker*
I just queued up Rarity and AppleJack for reading this weekend (I am not proud of this).
This makes update times the plague of this collaboration. I read way to many stories on here to take the time to parse out if the opposite character has reached that point in the timeline or not.
TL;DR I don't hate any of the stories or the writing. I just wish there were 3 extra weeks in the year where you all could get together and get "caught up" so to speak.
