What benefit does being one even give Twilight? It's not like she was a pegasus first and then grew a horn, She's not gaining any magical ability and if somehow being an alicorn increases her magic potential I don't see how adding wings to her did that. It's not like she's even being granted the ability to fly really, I mean she could already teleport and even if she could fly as fast as Rainbow Dash I have to think that teleporting is way faster.
She gets to have servants now, but she already had Spike so that's nothing new really. Her friends were already the best in their respected fields so if she ever needed anything she could just ask and she probably will continue to ask them for favors so there is nothing gained there. As for her place in leadership she was already looked up to, her friends have always looked to her, people always respected her, and she always taught people things. Really she is gaining nothing but the title of princess something they could have done without slapping some wings on her, but I guess Alicorn Princess sounds better.
Please note that this is not hate towards Alicorn Twilight, I'm fine with that, I just don't think she really is gaining anything from having a pair of wings added to her besides a title
