Why Scootaloo isn't in some sort of flight school/camp. She is clearly of or around the same age as Rainbow Dash or Fluttershy when they were in it. I just wonder why she is not, she would most likely benefit from the experience.

What benefit does being one even give Twilight? It's not like she was a pegasus first and then grew a horn, She's not gaining any magical ability and if somehow being an alicorn increases her magic potential I don't see how adding wings to her did that. It's not like she's even being granted the ability to fly really, I mean she could already teleport and even if she could fly as fast as Rainbow Dash I have to think that teleporting is way faster.

I delved into this subculture today and have to say that it is really amazing but horribly painful. I found it really interesting, but trying to enjoy it at this point in the fandom, at the end of season 3, is impossible. The sheer number of pony blogs and the time they have been out has led to crossovers, collabs, and inter/multidimensional story-lines rivaling that of Marvel and DC combined.
