Well, the s3 finale was a doozy, (if you haven't seen it, beware of spoilers), my personal opinion on it was that the songs weren't as bad as the Crystal Empire songs, but still not on the same level as smile, smile, smile or this day aria. As for the pacing, they were fitting what should have been a two-parter into one episode. With the plot about Twilight fixing her friend's cutie Marks and becoming and Alicorn having separate episodes, but I guess this is just the first part of a three-part opener for season 4, and i should refrain judgement until I see them. Anyways. The 'important' thing; how this effects my ongoing series. It won't affect 'Vortexes are Magic' that much, as the 'present' is at the beginning of season 3. But with 'The New Brotherhood of Darkness' I'll have to say it's not canon until further notice. Who knows, maybe in season 4 they have her give up Alicorn powers or get them taken away somehow. As for Gummy and Discord take on everything, I have an alicorn land shark as the main villain in that series. Anything could be a different race and it wouldn't affect anything. 'Pinkie, Paradox & Discord' might never be updated, but I don't think it would be affected much either.
Meh, anyways, I'd like to apologize to my editor Slateblu1 for not updating Vortexes are Magic in so, so long. The reason I haven't been working on it are for a combination of reasons. For one thing we've only gotten one or two new episodes of Doctor Who since my last update, so that's a lack of inspiration, and I've been working on lot's of non-pony related things, like a fantasy I'm writing, schoolwork, and getting a sudden burst of inspiration for stuff to do on a webcomic-making website called 'Pixton'.
So, again, sorry Slateblu1. But I promise that I'll have something for you to edit by the end of the weekend, even if it's only a few paragraphs.

In all seriousness though, I agree about the season closer. Not the best, and very rushed. Glad to see someone else greatly enjoyed the 'This Day' aria. My biggest issue was the number of songs. It felt like a musical.
Looking forward to whatever you have planned with Vortexes, and if you can, please send me a copy of all of S7, and 8 if it exists yet of Dr. Who. I need to catch up.
