100 Watchers! Progress Report/Plans, Excerpt, and Numbers! · 7:21pm Feb 6th, 2013
First off, I want to send a heartfelt "Thank You!" to those of you who have helped me get to where I am, in such a short period of time too. Not even 2 months ago I was only entertaining the thought of writing, and now, it has become something that I have truly come to enjoy doing! So, to all of you out there who have Watched, Favorited, Voted, and Commented, Thank You! It's been a relatively short time, but I hope to continue bringing you more stuff to read in the future!
Which leads me to the progress and future plans!
Becoming One With The Night - I'm sitting at ~5,500 words. I still have 1 untouched scene, and 2 very much incomplete ones left to write. Estimated word count is probably going to be hanging in the 8,000-9,000 range. This chapter covers TWO days!
Dreams Are A Gateway - I have slowly been going through this. I feel a sense of needing to work on it at some point, as it was the story that led me into writing for this fandom, however, all of my current plans for it are all middle/end content. I don't have as many ideas for the start, and trying to avoid cliches is nigh impossible.
As of now, an Unnamed MoonLight - This was inspired from This amazing picture done by Archonix. This will be a [Dark]+[Romance]. I suck at Dark though. But, I've got a fair amount of it outlined, as well as ~2,500 words written towards it. The plan is for it to be a multiple part One Shot (somewhat of an oxymoron, I know), consisting of 4 segments and an Epilogue of sorts. Part 1 is mostly finished, but still rough. Estimated word count, no more than 20,000.
The Stranger Games - I'm sitting here looking at this, and wondering to myself... exactly how morbid was I when I wrote this? I placed this "On Hiatus" for awhile, as maybe someday in the future my mind will be fucked up once more to write for it.
Have a short sneak at the next chapter, dealing with the fallout of a near death experience is, well, not fun. It's been an interesting learning experience so far though.
Luna fixated her stare, her gaze penetrating into Twilight. “I know denial when I hear it, Twilight Sparkle! It has taken me five years to open back up, and even now, I am sometimes loathe to admit how I truly feel, especially in regard to the events I caused a thousand years ago.” She spoke, admonishingly. Her tone shifted to a calm, quiet one as her eyes pooled with concern. “Twilight, I know that you are not ‘good,’ just like I was not when Tia would inquire shortly after my return. You have been through a harrowing experience and had a brush with death, you are anything but good right now. Please, let me help.” Luna’s tone became pleading near the end, nearly begging Twilight to let her help in any way she could.
Twilight’s eyes watered as she swam in Luna’s aquamarine orbs that were overflowing with concern for her wellbeing. Unable to hold back anymore, she started sobbing uncontrollably, collapsing into Luna’s outstretched hooves. The scenery around them began to fuzz, fading into darkness as just the balcony remained.
And, since I like numbers (working towards an accounting degree in the near future!), here's just a quick breakdown of BOWTN.
- 440 Favorites with 260 Upvotes, 8 Downvotes. This gives a ratio of 32.5:1 and a 97% ratio. Also, the story is up to 59% of Votes to Favorites.
- It recently broke 2,000 views on the largest chapter, and 12,000 views as a story. With 12 posted parts, that's a little over 1,000 views per segment.
