Upcoming Story? · 1:34am Feb 6th, 2013

Dear Diary,

My name is Buttercup. And I am a transfilly.

I looked at the paper I front of me before scrunching it up and throwing it in the trash. Earlier that day, I had gone to auntie Twilight for advice on what to do. My thoughts had been in turmoil for the last couple of months, ever since the realization that I might be trans. Of course, I hadn’t come right out and said it, just that I was having trouble sorting out my thoughts and didn’t know what to do. Twilight had suggested I try keeping a diary, that putting my thoughts down on paper might help to sort them out. But for the life of me, I was making absolutely no headway on the issue that really mattered to me.

So, I'm seriously considering writing a fanfic. For realsies this time. What do?

I am looking forward to it. Let me know when you get the first chapter done so I can add it to my list

I am also looking forward to it. I'm always eager to read more trans* stories =D

807209 807267 Well, be warned, all of this is subject to change, including its own existence. And if I do write the whole thing, it'll be a while before it's even up, since I'll want to write it all in advance to ensure a regular update schedule.

Possible story title: "Buttercups in Bloom".

Any progress here yet? I just noticed this blog post and I'm wondering how it's coming along.

887027 It's going swimmingly. And by 'swimmingly' I mean I haven't written another word. :twilightsheepish:

I've basically come down with the lazy version of writer's block. I start pondering how I'll write it, reach a small obstacle, then say 'screw it, I'll figure it out later' and go watch Starcraft 2 LPs. Well, that and try to not fail school.

Well, that and I'm still working on coming up with a supporting plot. The entire story can't be based around transgender issues, it has to be a piece of an overall narrative.

Yeah, writing a story without ideas for a plot is generally a fool's errand. Maybe all you need is a good brainstorming session, though. I find that's usually a pretty good way to kick up some ideas. Just find someone to bounce ideas off of for a while and see what the two of you come up with.
