I swear, if this does happen, I might actually tear up a little, because pone is still pone, and finale is still finale.
Failing that, something where Discord comes out and totally owns the villain of the week with uberpowers is fine too.
Or something where Derpy comes out and reveals herself to be the almost-immortal genius scientist mother of the alicorns would work too.
Or, hey, just more Pipsqueak.
Yeah, a Pipsqueak episode for the S3 finale would be sweet as.

Also, yes, this would be a lovely way to wrap up the season.

Saw this earlier today. No sir, I don't like it.
I can deal with Alitwi. The intent of the letter in this comic is actually quite nice, and if this lesson appears in S3 or S4, I'd actually love that. However.
I have to take issue with a number of decisions in this comic. Her friends all refer to her by title—I can't see canon Twi ever permitting that. Everypony looks really ashamed, and I get that there's subtext that they treated her differently and are supposed to be repentent, but... Look at Dash and Shy's panels in isolation, out of context. Dash really does look like she feels small and insignificant beside her friend. Fluttershy looks like she's being browbeaten into accepting the lesson she's speaking.
tl;dr - Rather than relieve any lingering fears about "becoming a princess will cause a rift between herself and her friends", this comic actually feeds those fears for me, ironically. Granted, I'm not actually fearful of this point (#IBelieveInMALarson), but this comic is Not Helping. IMHO.

I had this same reaction to that comic. We've been told the alicorn thing won't change how Twilight treats her friends, so I'm going to forget that this exists now, thanks.
Also, S3 should end with "to be continued".

Mmm, valid points. I was actually expecting something snarky like Twilight sitting on a throne looking imperious halfway through the comic, but then it went for the soft alternative. The thing is that I don't feel much for alicorn-or-no Twilight, since I've, um, kinda stopping paying attention to her and look mostly for AJ/Fluttershy character development =s but yeah, Twilight, alicorn or no wouldn't really change her personality. If it happens, none of my fics sink, either, so I'd say I'm nonchalant about the whole deal. Heh. But it would be nice if this was how it was played, still.
