So much for my universe, I guess (spoilers!) · 2:48am Jan 30th, 2013
Well, unless you've been hiding under several tons of rock, you've probably seen the pictures of Twilight the Alicorn.
I've tried to keep my universe aligned with the canon universe as far as possible, but there are limits, and it seems I just arrived at one of those. I'm not going to incorporate this into my stories - not because I have anything against it (it's Hasbro's sandbox we're all playing in, after all), but because it would be too much of a hassle to rewrite everything from "L'amore è femmina" onwards. Especially now that the third big story is in the works.
Oh yeah, I probably should mention that too. The third story has begun. Working title is "Coming Home", after the 2011 Icelandic entry to the Eurovision Song Contest (I picked this theme, and I'll stick to it, so if you want a list of possible chapter titles, knock yourselves out). So far, there are less than a thousand words in existence, but I can already tell you a few things: it's set after "L'amore è femmina" - the timeskip is roughly the same distance as between "Love Will Set You Free" and "L'amore è femmina", around five or six years. Characters in the first scene are Fluttershy and Discord, and our favourite draconequus has come to warn Fluttershy.
Something is coming. Something big. Something he is afraid of.
It begins
...... Oh shit. Something Discord is afraid of? I'll be packing my bags now and saving myself the trouble of running away from it later thanks. But in all seriousness, nice to see that you're working on a big story again.
Bring it.
This is the nice thing about fan fiction: we're free to not use elements of a source work that we don't like. Case in point: I know of at least one writer who refuses to put Shining Armor in his works. Trixie is all the family his version of Twilight needs.
Well, take heart, with the 'magically switching destinies' that the episode provides mayhaps it's only a temporary Twicorn... or else really the story tellers would be saying 'you're not perfect until you become a princess'...
I'm probably going to completely ignore the season three finale for the purposes of fan fiction no matter what.
The only possible scenario I can see this working, is through a dream sequence.

Even if it's a temporary thing. The entire concept, and the idea that it's possible, gives us some very unfortunate implications.
Eh, the universe is over-rated. It's just where I keep my stuff, really.
If Discord is scared, then it'll be fairly interesting. Hopefully Babs Seed can get her own Element, too. That is, if she's even going to pop into the series.
