    It's that time.

Well, it's about that time. As much as I hate leaving things unfinished I just haven't been feeling much love for MLP in a while. The stories here no longer interest me and I really haven't watched an epsiode in at least a year if not more. Why am I doing this? I guess to head off any questions as to where I've been or if such and such a story will be continued.

He's not dead. He just left early to avoid the rush.

It's not often that the death of a well known figure affects me. When Leonard Nimoy died I merely said, "that's too bad" even though I was a massive Trekkie in my youth. When Robin Williams died I said, "what a shame" even though I thought his early stand up days were some of the funniest things I had ever seen. But this is possibly the first time I've felt actual sadness at the passing of a

I've gone through a bit of a dry spell, not much in the way of inspiration and have a half-dozen things sitting on the back burner waiting for me to pick them up again.

    Plagiarism 2: Electric Boogaloo

Guess who's back? Everybody's favorite thief, "TheSequentialArtMan". He's back and hasn't changed one bit. In fact I checked his story and while he put some of the chapters away, a great deal of his first chapter is still lifted verbatim from "A Doorway to Another Place".

Plagiarism or "I couldn't think of anything so I copied you".

It's not a nice thing when somebody takes your work and copies it. I'm not talking somebody that takes the idea or even the concept and reworks it as their own. No, I mean when somebody goes as far as to actually steal your words and then acts like it's no big deal.

I should have learned by now · 9:00pm Jan 14th, 2013

When I make decisions like not writing or putting a story on hiatus, suddenly I get inspired by something and wind doing exactly what I said I wouldn't do. I think my muse is toying with me at times.

So yeah, the latest chapter of the Side Stories is up. It deals with Sterling & Glenda and how they got together. As mentioned it's a lot shorter than it originally was but that just means I can continue the next chapter in their lives and hope that I don't spend another month staring at a blank page.

Lol, one's muse will strike at the most unexpected, and usually obnoxious, times.

It's a pain in the butt I tell you. Before I used to carry around a notepad and paper so I could jot things down if I thought of them now I just use my iPhone.

But yes, it happened once when i was making out with my then GF and now wife. Something popped into my mind and I had to write it down. She was used to this by then but it's not the sexiest thing to go from, "oh baby, oh baby" to "hold that thought, I need to write something down before I forget it."

I'm glad that I wasn't drinking anything when I read your reply, the imagery alone was enough for me to crack up laughing for a good minute or so.
Mine usually come when I am ready to go to sleep, or don't have access to jot it down. Then it just pings around in my head for ages.

Have you figured out what your plans are going to be once you wrap up the side stories to your satisfaction?

I've got something concurrent with this in that I'm working on. More of an idea really that I'm trying to flesh out. So as it stands there are still another two planned chapters for the side stories and one for the other thing. Once I'm done with this I want to put Rick and Twilight aside and if anything continues in that universe it will focus on their kids and the legacy they've left behind.

Really? That's too bad. I love Rick and Twilight, they're a great couple. But I guess since you're the author dude, you're ultimately the one that needs to make the decision.

Haven't seen your comments around in a while. Glad you're back. :yay:

I've said it before that I was done with those two and then I change a week later and started on the side stories. So my word on this might be a little... suspect. But we'll see what the future holds.
