Well it was my first stab at fanfiction and, while I'm glad that people enjoyed it enough that I got a few followers, I can see now that it was a neat idea that was a little poorly executed. That being said, I'm not discontinuing it; I almost have the second chapter for it done, but I got some honest criticism for it last night from a friend and I can now see the glaring issues with my writing.
I guess my other problem is that I really don't have any other ideas at the moment for a completely new story. Don't get me wrong, I like all the characters of this show, but they have personalities I have a hard time writing about. Discord's about the only one I feel like I can work with very well. The other characters? I could write a story with one or two of the mane 6, Spike, or CMC, but I think every idea that I have for them has been done to death already anyway.
Nothing wrong with doing an 'old' idea. There are no original ideas, after all!
