Well this holiday season sucked. · 12:21pm Dec 27th, 2012
Well, I was supposed to be on duty from Monday. I was on some stupid course last week that finished Thursday, and had the weekend to myself, when I got a
phone call from my boss on Sunday. He told me I wasn't needed till tonight, which meant I could still go home, but it wasn't worth it and my family had made other arrangements anyway. Well, this shift was supposed to start at 1830 GMT, and I get another call from him at 0700 saying I wasn't needed in tonight, but had to
remain on 4 hour call out. This means I could go home, as I only live about 3 hours away. But I'm not going to, due to the fact it's a long drive, and I would be fucked from
going home and back in a single day.
Now I know some of you may think "what the fuck is he moaning about?". It would've been nice to be informed of this a while before hand, but I have grown up around the military, so this was not totataly unexepected, and this is the first time in 2 1/2 years that I have been affected by theses circumstances, so I should count myself lucky really. There are still all those who were not even in their own country for Christmas or [insert holiday here]. Stay safe out there my colleagues, and come home in one piece!!
