I'm not troubled at all by this. Trust me. It's just something I find a little curious.
During the Too Many Pinkie Pies episode, Spike runs up to Pinkie Pie and says "So lemme guess. You're the real Pinkie Pie." to which she responds "Heck if I know!"
For those who don't know, "Heck" is defined as the softer word for "Hell" and is almost never hear in cartoons. The only one I can think of that may have last used it (to my recollection) is Dexter's lab.
But now I'm curious. Is it just an expressive word for a sort of chaotic state to them? Do any of them believe in hell? Hey! Maybe when ponies die in real life their spirit goes to Equestria which is a pony version of haven that we've been watching this whole time!
Any who! Working on a new comedic short story before I jump back into Night of the Blue Sun. Might take me a bit!
To be honest I'm actually quite fond of heck in my stories when hell, or something stronger doesn't seem right.

Ain't nothin' wrong with that. As far as fan ficing goes, you can have a character say what ever s/he wants. If your trying to have your story taken seriously as far as being cannon goes, then you might wanna keep the language tame. There's also always those fun substitutions to use too like "What the hay are you doning?!" or "Get the buck out of here!"

Well, watch episode 15 of Season 1 of 2012 LPS, Topped With Buttercream! Vinnie does, in fact, say heck.
Also, if you haven't then you could give that show a try as well!
EDIT: Check that, I think they say heck quite a lot.

I don't like buck.
It sounds so... Forced. I mean, it can also refer to actually bucking. Just like somebody said somewhere, It could be completely different.
