Well to be forward, I don't know the history of WH, or the lore. But here's what I think you should write.

Picture this: During one night in our world. A random male human gamer was playing his own WH 40k game. Dawn of War in case you don't get what steering at. Anyways, during a lighting storm, the human got zapped through his CP and transported to an alterative universe of MLP.

This MLP universe is a FOE one. But let's just start it off as a version of it, as the caribou took over most of Equestria. Cloudsdale, Ponyville, Cantferlot, and are all under siege by the invaders. The gamer himself appears in his normal everyday clothing not knowing how he got there.
However, after he arrived, he had a floating skull thing with machine parts telling him: You have exited through the maelstrom. Soon, he discovers he can command WH 40k minions from the game he was playing, but only 200 at a time. Mainly we can't be overpowered now can we?

Would like to know more about my ideals?
