Daybreaker?! the comics had her first! · 4:51pm March 31st
Chrysalis is colored correctly on the right...
... but what everypony was missing: "Celestia" is not simply white and the mane is not multicolor...
but 'Celestia' is tainted yellow and her mane looks like fire! The floor is burning too! ...
We know who does have this very unique, one-of-a-kind, pattern! Daybreaker!
This would explain where the Daybreaker Dream Manifestation got its roots! It didn't just pop out of nowhere...
THIS- is from when Celestia went nuts, back in the day...
I read this comic a dozen times and only today ~ years after the fact when i happen to dig up this page~ i noticed
ps the comic is freaking amazing. Read it! You learn a lot about Chrysalis ancient past and legends of old ♥
Great catch!

Thanks.
I think everyone missed it because the Daybreaker episode came way after the comic. Spread the word! 😀

I'd gladly, but only through fanfiction
I had this idea that Daybreaker is just Celestia but mystified by the legends, and her mane always had an ability to burst out in flames, as befitting for the Sun personified. What you see in the show is that flame lowered down to almost negligible state, not capable to hurt anyone. Glad to see some turn-around credence for it from the comics, I suppose.

This reminds me of my gas oven.
Low flames are colorful 😆
Pilot light!
I like the idea of her being overpowered but hiding it. Like Superman would.
I favorited ~2 stories like that. Can't get enough.
