    Not Dead

First: There will be one more (?) chapter, don't worry. It's not dead, and wasn't left marked incomplete by accident.

Ran into some roadblocks but am trucking on. I'm really not used to writing multi-chapter fics, which doesn't help. I think I've mentioned before that I've uploaded fics on AO3 before, but those were always one shots based on my interest of seven years, Madoka Magica. I'm more used to writing "for/as" that cast as opposed to MLP's — but even then when I had a complex idea for a PMMM Fic that would require multiple chapters, I always made mental AUs but never wrote them. But I've not ditched FTS, so don't worry! I'm hoping to publish the last part in the next week or so...

Speedwriting AP Literature essays in an hour before class? No problem. Writing something with multiple chapters? Like pulling teeth, apparently.

Realized that the last sentence is a little wonky, so to clarify: I'm not currently in high school (am 21), but the last time(s) I've tried Serious Writing was when I was 17ish, so it's definitely been awhile! The PMMM AO3 fics are probably 2yrs old now and I orphaned and/or deleted them from my account a long time ago for reasons that I now recognize as stupid and impulsive (not because they were that poorly written or inappropriate, but because of issues with another person). Really wish I'd kept those around for history...I would have liked trying to rewrite them.

Ha! It hasn't been a year since the last update. Author RIP has not even begun to cross my mind at this point. :rainbowlaugh:

I've seen some fics with people acting like the author went and keeled over because they miss a weekly update, so I didn't want anyone to think I'd ditched it. I'm a couple thousand words in and think I've got something going now, but for awhile, the whole realization of "this is meant to be set a million years in the future" gave me major writer's block. Thinking of a hundred or maybe a thousand years in the future is feasible, but I only realized whole writing that a million is...a lot. And I got caught on that for awhile, because I was panicking over making future humans not look like Eldritch Horror beings. If you ever saw those clickbaity "tech is going to make humans EVOLVE HORRIBLY [insert really weird/creepy future human model]" articles as a kid, you'd get it, lol.
