10 years on FimFiction! · 3:39am March 5th

just as the title says, today is my 10 year anniversary of having a fimfic account- and i almost forgot!

i sorta thought i'd do a neat little reflection thing here when i thought to myself the other day "huh, I should make a blog post to commemorate this!" but to be honest its 10:30pm as i write this and i kinda want to get to bed soon-ish. so, only the most minor of reflecting is to be done.

i may have only published my first work within the last year or so, but hey, fun fact: no I didn't! i published a fic way back around when this account was opened. i won't go into details, only that i was, shall we say, a bit too young to technically be allowed a fimfic account at the time, and very into the grimdark side of the fandom, but it was... something else, that's for sure. i like to pretend it never existed. also, if you find any comments i left on works before like 2020, that wasn't me that was my evil and cringier twin, so there.

i have - let me count - about a dozen stories sitting in my stories tab that i think about on and off, and about 2-3 i'm actively(-ish) working on, so i'm hoping to publish more soon! i also just participated in my first quills and sofas speedwrite a couple weeks ago, so maybe i can do more of those and publish some of them! who knows!

in another 10 years, i'm not sure exactly where i'll be. a part of me doubts i'll still be here writing ponyfic, but again, who knows? i've been here for one decade already! for right now, i'm really enjoying both writing and the community, and i'm certainly the most involved in the community as i've ever been (not saying much) so i'm hoping to keep up some forward momentum.

i still think about the show very often, and it will forever hold a special place in my heart, as will fimfic as a site and community at large. it has changed a lot, but i honestly think the majority of it is for the better! i'm certainly liking it, at least.
