    Happy St. Patrick's Day🍀☘️

Currently doing a bar crawl in Downtown (ok so we started in Corktown and are making our way through any good AVAILABLE bar today) with some friends and a couple of co-workers of mine, who we unintentionally ran into. Turns out great minds think alike! Ironically I'm the "Uber Call Girl" tonight so...unfortunately can't get TOO wasted (plus I actually have work tomorrow...couldn't call off).

Happy 100th Anniversary "The Walt Disney Company" · 4:59pm Oct 16th, 2023

Original Founding Date: October 16th, 1923

Yes it gives me great pleasure (and a bit of a shudder) to congratulate the Walt Disney Company on it's 100th anniversary today! That's a big anniversary for such a BIG company! And to think it had such humble beginnings and their early years were...interesting to say the least:

(The first appearance of "Oswald the Lucky Rabbit" in 1927....this would be the creation that would eventually give us one of the most recognizable characters in media history.)

(As far as Disney is concerned, this is the official original short that introduced Mickey and Minnie Mouse in 1928...nearly a year after Oswald's First appearance.)

Man....I wonder if Roy and Walt Disney were alive today, what would be their thoughts on how their little company would grow to be one of the top 5 BIGGEST media production companies in the U.S and the world! What an observation that would be.

So we've got ears! Say Cheers for 100 years of Magic!!
That is all,
-Red Cloak

A hundred years is impressive and all, but Dudney doesn’t exactly have much to celebrate these days with stock, public opinion, toy sales, park attendance, etc. in the dumps.

That may be so, yet how many companies can claim a whole century? Not too many that aren't food related.
