There's nothing major to post here or anything like that. This is just a little rant. Feel free to skip it and not listen to me about this. I don't mind.
I was coming back from the cafeteria at my university and decided to check in on a follower of mine whose going through some stuff. I came across an old PM from someone who was talking about how they prefer realistic sibling relationships over tender loving ones. Now, that's not what got on my nerves, because if that's a trope they prefer, that's fine. There are some tropes people prefer more than others, though I'm more on the tender-loving sibling relationship side, even if it doesn't start like that. What got on my nerves about that post, was this:
Also, does that mean that the episode “Flutter Brutter” ruined Fluttershy as a character for you too? I don’t care if Zephyr Breeze is lazy and egotistical and constantly hits on Rainbow Dash. He is a far more sympathetic character than that worthless whore Fluttershy ever was. The entire time I was watching that episode I was waiting, praying for Zephyr to say “Screw you, bitch! I can do whatever I want! I’m better than you!” and proceed to beat the crap out of Fluttershy. It’s what I would have done in his place.
Again, I know this is more than likely something I shouldn't get so annoyed over - let alone rant about - but I was. And it wasn't even the part where he was making it abundantly clear that he dislikes Fluttershy. What irked me was how he was saying that Zephyr Breeze was a sympathetic character even though "Flutter Brutter" has proven he isn't. From constantly hinting on an obviously disinterested Dash, using his gentle-hearted mother and father's home like it's his place, mooching off his sister, and being a general pain to Fluttershy's friends. That isn't to say I don't get where he's coming from in believing he can do something because of how hard it is, but still. It just seriously bothered me a lot.
Well, this is my little rant. I'm sorry if I annoyed or irritated anyone with this. I just felt the need to get this out of my system so I didn't keep festering inside me. I thought I could just ignore it, and for a while, I did. But... well, I guess seeing that message again kind of reawoke some ill feelings.
I agree with you pal. Fluttershy and Zephyr are adults in this episode, so what he said was that he would commit a felony as a way to prove that Zephyr is somepony to sympathize with.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to have some words with them.
*Chainsaw revs and grows quieter as I leave, only to grow louder again before getting turned off*

To be honest, I don't really remember having a discussion with him about preferring realistic or tender sibling relationships. But he did PM me about that so we must have. Either way, it seriously upset me.
