I don't really have much to say on this episode. It's basiclly the MLP spin on the Christmas Classic novel "A Christmas Carol" written by Charles Dickens. The story is centered on Starlight being told the tale by Twilight and then was shown the scenario with the various characters from the show acting as the characters from the novel. Playing the part of Scrooge, who wants to use a spell to remove the holiday forever. She then gets visited by three different ghosts with Christmas Past, played by Applejack, Ghost of Christmas Present by Pinkie Pie, and Ghost of Christmas Future by Luna. Basiclly the story shows that Starlight's character was taught badly at a boarding school about using magic to be used only for the benefit of Eqeustria and becomes fixed on the idea. Then the character goes through the three ghosts and, at the end, sees that if she casts the spell, she's dooming Equestria to its destruction. I liked the spin on the classic tale overall; the music was really good. I also liked the message about how we shouldn't be super fixated on working too hard and not having fun and being about sharing your life with friends and family. So, in the end a solid Christmas episode.
