Tails was on the Brighthouse bedroom, feeling a bit down.
He was playing at 'Sonic the Hedgehog 2' on the original SEGA Genesis as himself on a TV on his are of the bedroom, racing as fast as he could through the second act of Emerald Hill Zone, but his expression was a tired and hurt one.
And then, he not only crashed with a badnik and lost all his rings, but he also couldn't catch them in time and even got hit by another badnik that killed him. Of course that this was disappointing, but as the screen showed the 'game over' screen, it instead showed a message that said 'You're too slow', which only frustrated Tails even more.
So, he picked up the TV remote and switched from the HDMI to the regular TV, as it showed a video of Sky Dazzle informing about important stuff.
Just then, Sonic arrived and looked at Tails with a worried smile.
Hey there, big 'little' bro!
He then sat at Tails' side and looked at him with concern.
Misty told me that you ran in here after arriving. What's the matter, dude?
Tails let out a sigh and shook his head.
I'm just... Concerned on how everyone looks at me...
Soon, Sunny approached as well, and she sat at Tails' other side and placed a hoof on his shoulder.
Concerned? What are you concerned about?
Everyone around me looks at me and says 'Hey, that's Sonic's pal' or 'Hey, aren't you Sonic's sidekick?' or even 'Don't you follow Pipp's boyfriend around?'
We see some scenes from Team Sonic fighting together side to side against the badniks in Maretime Bay, while also dodging the lasers from Eggman's Death Egg Titan.
I'm just tired to feel like a burden... This past months I grew physically, sure, but has anything changed at all?
Now we see Tails hiding behind the counter of his destroyed workshop, as he held his left arm in pain and breathed heavily after the blast he received from Opaline.
Everyone looks up to me like if I was a kid, but.. I'm tired of that too!
We see Sonic and Tails fighting over the latter's safety, while Eggman suddenly attacked them both with his Egg Dragoon, back when Tails' powers awakened on that cave.
Can't everyone understand that I ain't a kid anymore?!
Then, we see Tails' powers awakening, as he then creates a robot and uses it to punch the Egg Dragoon, before keep doing so until Eggman came out of the machine and fainted in the ground.
Tails... You should know already that you are not my sidekick. You're a smart fella that can fly with his butt, and you have shown before that you can do fine by yourself!
After saying this, we see a flashback of Tails fighting on his own against Eggman in Station Square to prevent the place from being blown up.
Sure, you had moments of weakness, like when Infinite attacked me...
We see another flashback, this one showing Tails ducking down and feeling afraid at Chaos 1 while asking Sonic for help.
But you should already know that it didn't made you a fool or useless.
You are more than just a sidekick. We've seen it, like when you fought Dr. Eggman inside his Death Egg Titan as a distraction!
We see now Tails multiplying himself inside Eggman's Death Egg Titan to distract him, while Eggman growled in anger.
Or when you managed to give Sonic all the information from Cyber Space he needed!
We see Tails looking down at a Koco with sadness, while Sonic approaches him with a little smile.
I'm proud of you. Don't forget that.
Tails deep breathed and looked at him sideways.

He turned to see Sonic with a smile, and Sonic smiled back at him.
You just got to find the courage to put your fears and doubts aside!
Now, we see Tails making a long and detailed investigation on where could Eggman's current hiding spot be located.
Then, we see Tails embracing Zipp tightly and comforting her by rubbing her back, while Zipp cried on his chest.
Now, we see Misty nuzzling slightly with Tails, while the young fox chuckled at the affective manner.
But the moment to show the world who you are won't arrive that easily.
Now, we see Tails fighting on his own against Opaline, as he fired several blasts from his guns against the Fire Alicorn, but she burned the blasts down and aimed to Tails, who used a shield to protect himself from the Alicorn's attacks.
Because you won't choose that moment...
Tails took a deep breath and closed his eyes, focusing on the energy of his body. Soon, the Chaos Emeralds surrounded him, and they twirled around him for a few seconds...
That moment will choose you.
After hearing all of this, Tails couldn't help but smile at Sonic and Sunny, and so, he dragged both of them into a tight hug, which startled them both, but they still hugged him back.
Thanks, guys! I mean it...
Suddenly, we see Omega and Sunny fighting against a bunch of ponies: All having metallic skins, red sclera, yellow iris, spikes in some parts of their bodies, and even sharped teeth.
Next, we see Sonic slowly transforming and groaning in pain, as his fur changed color and his teeth sharpened.
Now, we see Opaline and Sunny having an intense battle across the sky, as the shoot at each other with their magic.
You really thought you could stop me?! YOU WORTHLESS, WEAK LITTLE NOTHING!
Then, Opaline launched an attack Against Tails, blasting the poor fox against his own workshop, as he traversed the window and broke it, while he crashed on his back against his logo near the counter.
After this, we see Sonic getting pushed towards the ground, while a pair of glitchy and red-black arms were holding him from his arms.
Legends have some truth behind, and if Izzy believes that there's something to worry about with this 'Troggles', then I choose to believe her.
Soon, we see Knuckles punching constantly Thunder's face to make him let him go, but the pegasus face kept regenerating for some reason.
... If they die... They die...
Eggman was looking at a big container that had some metallic liquid substance inside, moving on its own.
Look through all the animal kingdom for a proper subject to our next massive project, dear!
The doctor let out a maniac laugh, while his glasses fell a bit and showed his dark eyes with red pupils.

Misty looked around one of Eggman's hidden basements in Equestria.
She wasn't looking for anything special, but she did wanted to share something...
Eggman... I know you can hear me. Don't know how, but I know you can. Wherever you are hiding, whatever you are planning, it doesn't matter... I'm stopping you with my friends, and that's a promise!

Maybe the trailer already gives this sensation, but yes: Tails is the main star of Season 3!
Maybe some of you are confused on why the spotlight is given to the young fox now, but I promise you guys that after Frontiers is done, Tails being the protagonist of Season 3 (along Misty if Chapter 5's previews so far are anything to go by) is going to make sense.
And if you wonder: Yes, Sonic will be slightly sidelined, but again: With Frontiers out, it'll make more sense why Sonic is resting from being the protagonist this season.
If Tails is going to be the main character of season 3, maybe you should’ve used the season 2 cover art for this story then.
Anyway, what else was I going to say?

I feel bad that Sonic is getting the short end. But I can understand him needing a break. But I like to point out that Knuckles can go Super, along with Shadow & Amy (cause Sega made a super Amy at long last) as well. But I just hope him & Sunny end up as just background characters.
I’m excited for this chapter I love the ideas of you using from the Super Mario bros movie Tails playing the sega genesis while feeling down and opaline yelling at tails like Bowser voiced by Jack black you’re awesome at making this stories
