Why I do what I do · 3:29am Dec 19th, 2012
I'm really, really hoping that I got all the thank yous past out to everypony who's given me a favorite on my story, though me being me I'm fair certain that I missed at least a few of you and I can only say that I'm sorry if I did, it was by no means intentional.
One of you -- you know who you are -- sent me back a private message telling me that they'd never been thanked for just giving a favorite before and that that made them feel nice but the weren't sure why I did it.
The answer to this is a little convoluted when it boils down to it, but the simple answer is that, as an author, I feel a burning need to say thank you to people when they take the time to look at my work and whether they like it, don't like it or are completely ambivalent to it, they at least took the time to read it!
You all really don't know just how good that makes me feel that somebody is reading my work and taking the time to inform me, directly or indirectly, of their view towards it. Even comments that have been more towards the negative (grammar corrections, punctuations and general disagreements with my take on situations, the earlier of which will be corrected as I have time) mean a lot because you're taking the time to point things out to me and give me your opinion. Whether I agree with you or not is irrelevant in this situation, the point is, I'm thankful that I'm generating interest.
I've tried to reply to all the comments that I've received and I think I've gotten them all at this point, if I didn't reply, please don't take it as a personal offense or insult, either I haven't gotten to it yet or I just missed it ^^;
Seriously though, as stated in my blog earlier today, I never expected the kind of response I've gotten on this story so color me pleasantly surprised and extremely grateful to everybody out there who's read it so far and who will read it in the future!
