Some background music. You're going to need it: we're going to be here a while.

    Status Update, April 2024 Edition

Part of my slowness in writing M.L.G.'s latest chapter is for the usual reasons: tiredness, minor depression, having other things on the mind, that sort of thing. However, in what can only be described as "whimsy", I've recently decided to complete a list of all of the intentional shout-outs and references in the story as of the most recent chapter.

    Something To Think About

I have a message to share with prospective authors. If you go into writing a story---be it as a living, or just for fun---don't automatically assume that what you're doing is wholly original.

    Tired, Running On Empty

That pretty much summarizes my mental state of the past few days. Constantly tired (half due to not getting enough sleep and half due to my walking regimen), and I can't really think of things I want to write for the story. You know you're having trouble finding things to talk about when your brain fishes for tuna, but ends up with guppies instead.

    So INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATED Right Now

I copied the latest chapter of M.L.G. to my flash drive as usual. I took it home with the intent to post it today. I double-click the file.

Weird Dreams Are Weird · 1:11pm Jul 9th, 2023

So I had this dream last night that seemed to have three different plots going for it simultaneously.

The first plot involved some sort of horror show in someone's basement. Kind of reminded me of my workplace's basement, honestly. Anyway, the horror show didn't amount to much---just some AMVs tied to the concept. I distinctly recall seeing some sort of animation playing to a remix of Living Tombstone's "Five Nights at Freddy's" song, then me sitting down in a chair in the next room to talk to who was presumably the homeowner.

The second plot involved me in a brighter locale---don't recall exactly where---listening to people discuss computer repair among themselves. I remember trying to tell one of them about something I did with a computer I'd owned prior to college, and he was laughing at me the whole time.

The third plot involved wandering around some farmland that was significantly more... marshy or swampy than usual. The ground was soaked clear through, and there were tons of what looked like pine needles everywhere. Now that my brain has had a bit of time to process this, I realize now that the farmland was that of Sweet Apple Acres: Applejack turned up several times at the property's front door to discuss some problems with other ponies, including Rainbow Dash and one other pony I don't recognize.

Anyway, none of this had anything to do with anything. I just wanted to get it out of my brain and onto paper, so to speak, before it slipped my memory altogether. :derpyderp2:
