June 2023 News - Good News, Bad News, & Worse-Yet-Not-So-Bad News

Okay, let's not continue with the fanfare from the start and get things straight - I'm moving a few days or at least the majority of my stuff is being moved soon - so I may get back to writing again... and then we got the bad news.

So my current workplace isn't enough to help pay bills and so on, there's also the issue with travel distance being longer than my previous route, so I'm now in the process of looking different job opportunies. Now I'm not going to try patreon or any of the other websites/methods to get money through donations or such (mainly because lack of confience and a smidgen of not-understanding how it'll work for me), so for now I'm sticking to getting a job.

...Now onto the "really-possibly-probably bad news" of this update.

I'm planning to cancel a story... or rather some stories.

And no its not IANG or my recent ones the past few years; the ones getting axed due to not being updated in awhile/ stories I wrote in the moment with little planning/ or a future rewriting are as the following list shows:

At the bottom is - A Soldier's Orders; well cancelling isn't the right word, I'm giving it an early completion as I plan to just write a part 2 to that story separately while retconning certain aspects from the previous story through flashbacks to show which aspects are being retconned. To the newer readers who haven't checked my older stories before IANG, this was my original mega-project for story-writing and is still ongoing albeit a bit stale for awhile. Expect Anim to return with the continue of ASO, but with that the next story coming up to the chopping block.

Slimy Adorable Adventures: The Birth of Yibble-Bibble; this kinda follows with the second reason, I had not clear thought process when writing this as it was in the moment, but now seeing the direction most of my stories are going to a predictable theme, this story was my attempt at a lighter-hearted story... though I had plans to continue to more serious tones (I'm starting to see a pattern in my writing). Now this isn't the end of Yibble-Bibble, I plan to implement this character in some of my other stories (mainly in a certain sinner's tale) but, this story is officially confirmed to being buried.

Shattered Mind; I wrote this after cancelling my previous story "Insanity Has A Price" focusing on the leader of Ins0ne Par1y, but same with SAA:TBoYB, it was in the moment story and won't fit in my current plans.

Now this next one will come with a shock, but... Knight of the Void is being axed.

My reasons is that I was following the whole Displaced bandwagon at the time, and the good stories at that time we're awesome to read and follow... nowadays those generation of writers, either followed their own passions or are gone, the ones remain haven't updated in awhile or are busy elsewhere. Now there's no bad Displaced stories, as there still some hidden goldies out there, but my mind-set at the time writing KotV was for Zen to interract with the older generation of Displaced and my enery for this idea has dried up sadly.

....However this isn't the end of Zen, far from it as those who read IANG carefully, would had seen not once but twice of him appearing in said story as he plays an important role in future. Honestly this isn't a spoiler to mention but, KotV would had ended with Zen meeting Eclipse Light (prior to Eclipse being a pony) while revealing some major plot-points within KotV and IANG. I might make a blog or special chapter about this finale interaction either on KotV or IANG. Either case, farewell to KotV everyone, your story may have ended, but the characters' journey, still continues.

...Oh right there's still one remaining story that's needing to be axed and this one was expected and kind of in the know.

Empty But Not Dead was already being planned to being remaked like ASO, but unlike ASO, EBND is getting a legit remake from start to end. I tried to large scale it too much by forcing to isekaied an entire mountain the size of Everest in Equestria, so instead I'm going to use one of my favorite anime ideas in media for the remake. TIME TO GATE SOME SHITE!

So yeah, EBND is going to have a Gate scenario, so that means the world of EBND's Xarcain - Knightan - will cross with Equestria (I'm either thinking of Equis or Harmonia for the dimension name), in the new remake. I'm most likely going make a new story and not use the old one like I did with IANG, so the old version is deader than its characters (jokes yeah)!

I plan to update the stories new status later, but I still got more news coming (oh my), so hold them pants up and keep those glasses of water or whatever other liquid on hold, because once the move is officially done, the next stories I'm going work on writing will follow this order.

IANG is going to get one new chapter - which will take a while, I want to make the next chapter with my all and best imaginative writing it can give.

After this I have two main and two minor stories to focus on, these stories are - for main it's Eternal Sin and From Grass to Bedrock, while We Are Sinners and The Four Conquerors are minor ones. Besides that, a lot of story ideas that haven't even gotten out of the idea stage or enter the writing stage are getting axed too, I might keep the files though to donate for anyone interesting to take them up.

With that, this is all the news for now... though my biggest concern is finding work that is both close-by, pays well, and give me enough time to write at least a third of a chapter that's the size of my usual IANG ones.
