A change of direction for my stories. · 6:00pm Jun 2nd, 2023

You guys might be wondering why today's TYT episode sent you here, unless you're watching this before the episode. If that's the case, first watch the episode and then come back here. Trust me, it is necessary.
Now, this blog I'm making today is to explain a few things regarding the future of my stories.
1- Sonic x Make Your Mark - Season 2: So, we all know that next Tuesday Chapter 4 of Make Your Mark comes out. This should mean I'm basing Season 2 in said content, right?
Well... Yes, and no.
You see, while editing Winter Wishday last November, I realized that it was a bit difficult for me to always have the original chapter intact and just add Team Sonic in the mix. Sometimes it felt like they shouldn't even be there in order for things to work out.
So, once I was done with Winter Wishday, I sat down on my desk and started to re-evaluate the structure of my stories. What do I wanted to do? Where do I had to go? What is the point of the Sonic characters being in Equestria? I had so, so many things to settle. So, that's what I did most of December and January. I started to define the route of my stories.
Now, why is Season 2 based in Chapter 4, but not at the same time? Well, I decided to not make the same stupid mistake of the first Season of releasing episodes with TYT in the middle and release the entire Season straight. To do that, I needed to make something different and not just grab everything Make Your Mark publishes and throw the Sonic characters in the middle.
I needed to be original, add something more "Fanfiction" and less "Copy and paste"!
That's why, on February, I did it: I said "Fuck it, let's make this shit into REAL fanfiction". So, Season 2 implements 5 episodes of Chapter 4 (not including the special), and 5 COMPLETELY ORIGINAL episodes written by me.
Originally, it was going to be the 6 episodes of Chapter 4 (still, not the special), and 4 original ones, with two of these last group being the long-duration episodes.... But then someone (I'm not naming you, but you know who you are!) gave me such an incredible idea for an original episode that now is half and half (5 episodes pre-written in Make Your Mark, and five episodes made by me).
So, what about Bridlewoodstock (the special of Chapter 4) and that remaining episode? Well, don't worry. I'm not ignoring those things, I'm simply using them for Season 3 so they don't stay ignored.
Now, in case you wonder "But what about the references to Bridlewoodstock?!"
To that, I answer: Fanfiction. I can literally make the characters understand that such a thing hasn't happened yet. In fact, I can even joke a bit and say it happened in another universe, or it happened but in the future. That's the magic of fanfiction: As a writer, I have the power to forge this world and reality the way I want, as long as it stays consistent, of course.
2- Sonic x Tell Your Tale: Today's episode marks the beginning of a new route for Tell Your Tale as well!
Starting with the fact that Today's episode is not only the longest one I have written, but also the most unique one. After all, its tittle has "Part 1" on it, as well as a cliffhanger ending that teases a continuation in the next episode, not in Sonic x Make Your Mark: Season 2. That's because, even if today's episode does leaves a good cliffhanger for Chapter 4, it does not leaves a proper cliffhanger for my Season 2.
That's the reason why I decided to divide it in two parts. Next episode will be part two, and if you wonder how I'll handle the pretty much confirmed tie ups with MYM Chapter 4, let me remind you: Fanfiction, I can change that and that's it.
Now, here's another thing I wanted to share that might blow your minds: I might or not might change a TYT episode entirely. That is, whatever that week's episode is, if it doesn't convinces me, I'll simply do something more original.
I want to repeat that I might do it, not that I will, because there's only 17 episodes left for TYT, and I want them to be great and definitely not rushed.
3- Stories after Equestria Girls G5: My next stories after the ones stablished to come out this year are gonna be my favorites so far. And why? Well, let me remind you that there's more than just one Sonic out there. With that teasing over, I seriously cannot wait for you all to see what I have in store for my stories!
This is pretty much everything I needed to tell you all today, guys.
While this changes might not be what everyone expects, it is what I want for my stories to be more original and unique than just a Copy Paste that throws Team Sonic in the middle.
