Appearence:
Usually wearing a cloak, Kamau is fairly large for a zebra, standing about half a head taller than your average pony (just a little shorter and thinner than Big Mac). Under his cloak however, there are a small amount of scars and burns across his body, barely hidden underneath his coat.

Background:
Born between a visiting Equestrian diplomat and a Zebrica native, Kamau has lived a majority of his life at a hoofs-length away from most of the other Zebra foals. However, he quickly found solace in both books brought from his father’s country and his mother’s traditional teachings until they passed away. As he grew, Kamau quickly realized that he was a good deal stronger than most of his peers, but chose to hide his unnatural strength out of fear of drawing unwanted attention to his mixed bloodline; although, his true strength was soon revealed when he protected a group of lost foals from a herd of rampaging elephants. For his great deed, Kamou was given to the honor to compete for the title of village protector as well as the hoof of the village chief’s daughter in marriage. Although he had no intention of winning, Kamou easily bested all of his competitors in feats of strength, agility, and hoof-to-hoof combat. Angered that the title would fall to a mixed-breed, the village chief sent word to the surrounding villages to send their best warriors to defeat Kamou, offering his daughters hoof as well as her weight in gold as a reward for Kamou’s head. Kamou, already planning to run away to avoid the marriage, ran into the warriors outside the village and defeated them without realizing their identities. Fleeing from his unwanted infamy, Kamou left his home country to take refuge in Equestria. However, tales of the bounty soon reached the dregs of the Equestrian underground and Kamou soon found himself beget at all sides by assassins. Strangely, Kamou soon built another reputation as one of the best bounty hunters on the outskirts of Equestria, although he never actually “hunted” anyone. Rather, he would just turn in his unconscious assailants to the local authorities and give the reward to whomever he thought would benefit from its’ value.

Personality:
On the outside, Kamou gives off an aura of inapproachability due to his large size and the tattered cloak he often wears. At heart, however, he is just another awkward adolescent with little social skills and a voracious appetite for knowledge. This, combined with his easygoing attitude toward life, tends to land Kamou in situations that he would rather have no part in, but not having the assertiveness to talk his way out.

Motivation:
Kamou was signed up for the tournament after accidentally injuring another champion. Without knowing the details, Kamou was talked into taking the competitors place.

Equipment:
Ironcloth Wrappings: A rare and sturdy cloth by itself, but when touched with raw magic, it becomes as tough as the hardest steel. Slightly heavier in its' powered state and often fashioned into greaves.

Tattered cloak: Standard adventurer cloak, complete with pockets on the inside.

Potions/Elixir cache: A journeyman-level apothecary and alchemist, Kamau's selection ranges from basic healing drafts, minor poisons, and antidotes to slightly less basic fare, to smokescreens and hallucinogenic toxins.

Abilities:
Hoof Combat Mastery: Years of intense training under his mother in various Zebra styles of hoof-to-hoof combat has made Kamau a force to be reckoned with in terms of ability and experience.

Field Doc: While he possesses only rudimentary knowledge in Medicine, Kamau has supplemented his deficiency through experience and his knowledge in potions. (He can fix ya, but he has no idea what the proper terms are)

Call/Roar of the Earth: Kamau has the ability to direct the flow raw magical power contained in his body. In Call of the Earth, Kamau generates a strong layer of raw power over his body to help withstand attacks at the cost of immobility while doing so. In Roar of the Earth, Kamau stores small energy in a portion of his body (hoof, back, head, etc) and uses a some more energy to push the magic out quickly, causing a sudden explosion of force as it exits.
