I finally beat Diablo 2 Resurrected on Normal last night, and after two hours on Nightmare difficulty, my worst fears from Path of Exile were realized; just like in that game, my build hit a wall because I don't plan for synergies 30 levels ago. Plus there's a 40% penalty to all resistances for Nightmare, because apparently that's supposed to be more fun, and certainly doesn't erase 15 hours of grinding points into resistances. Then throw in experience loss on death to really hammer home the disrespect for my free time.

All in all, there were enough laughable balance issues throughout that I'm absolutely not suffering through it anymore. Certainly a game that was designed by sex criminals. Uninstalled, and going to move onto Diablo 3, which I hear is much easier and less frustrating. Apparently to some 1000+ hour veteran neckbeards that's a grievous sin.

Luckily, my Diablo 2 frustrations melted away with a half hour of Cursed Halo Again, where we have...

A comically oversized (and ridiculously powerful) pistol. And instead of the assault rifle, we have...

A salt rifle.

You forgot about the left shotgun

I hear you about Diablo 2, at least I could make it through Nightmare as a Fire sorceress. Hell though, I couldn't deal damage at all, since enemies are now immune to damage types and now I have to pick up a second element which is much weaker and considering inflated health pools, still takes 6 years to kill something. Not to mention the -100% resistance penalty so anything that tickles you makes you explode.

Yeah, it reminds me of people who get very like, elitist about their CRPG builds and whatnot
