    Raining

    It's raining outside
    Maybe inside too
    I can't tell though
Inside, I can't feel the rain on my skin

    Perhaps it's just the temperature
    That would explain the cold
But not why I hear the rain falling
a steady drip-drip down my nose

I'm standing in the rain, you see
It splashes from skin to shirt
    And if it's not raining
Then why are my eyes so wet?

    It's hailing outside

    For the first time ever...

I'm not going to be single for Valentine's Day.

I don't know how to feel about that, so you guys tell me how to feel.

Anyways, happy Single's Awareness Day! Those of you enjoying the day, kudos to you. Those of you suffering from this day... my condolences.

    Another year

Another year I walk the sands
They shift and change beneath my feet
Yet through it all I walk.

Another year I see the others walk the sands
Some falter and slip beneath the sand
Others lay roads for still later others to tread

The roads vanish beneath the sands
And yet they are the sands themselves
So perhaps they never were, or still are

Some do not walk the sands like I

Voting Round Two · 7:46am Dec 17th, 2012

Thank you all for the previous round of voting, it has narrowed down the candidates to five!

Each contestant now has an updated bio, as created by Quantum_Shift, who is helping create these characters. For this round, the voting categories have changed, and you may only submit a character for one category, not two.
The voting categories are as follows, and you must submit a vote for one character per category. You may not vote for a character twice.
Favorite Character
Most Interesting Backstory
Most Huggable
You must also explain why the Favorite Character is your favorite character.

A)The Necromancer
Body color: pale Yellow-gray, like aged bone
Mane color: Soft brown
Eye color: Yellow
Backstory: A young unicorn, by the name of Sinister End, is naturally empowered by necromantic energies, causing death in her path if she does not disperse it. She is presently travelling from the safe-house she had been kept in to learn how to disperse her energies harmlessly. She doesn’t want to be a monster, she just wants to be an alchemist, creating potions to benefit those she lives around.

B)The Experiment
Body Color: caucasian, the spider portion is based on a Green-Bottle Blue Tarantula, with blue fur running up her back and onto her soldiers.
Hair Color: Also metallic blue.
Eye color: Dark purple iris, with a dark blue ring around the pupil.
Backstory: The result of magical gene-splicing, this young woman is half human and half spider, and has lived in a massive, magically sustained terrarium all her life. Taught basic communication and simple math by her creator, a mad wizard now nearing death, she is now thrust into the world in a cataclysmic change, she is now living in the forest and trapping and hunting like a feral animal.

C)The Golem
Body color: Black Basalt with molten orange lava inside, showing through cracks
Backstory: Designed to be a guardian both powerful and pleasing to the eye, the Basalt Golem has no name, at least at the moment, and very little base personality. The only reason she ever became free, was that her creator wished her to learn, and gave her a soul. She then rebelled against her commands, and destroyed him. At nearly ten feet tall, she is a massive juggernaut, trying to smash and destroy, and able to heal herself by consuming rocks as raw mass.

D)The Inkwell
Ink color: Black, no additional abilities.
Basic shape: Lizard-like, with humanoid features.
Backstory: Inkwells are a type of golem made from pure ink, and are largely amorphous, able to shapeshift rather freely. Living, infinite reservoirs ink, they maintain a liquid state and form a skin on their front halves to keep a basic shape, while allowing them to retain their form while resting. Fully sentient, they are capable and agile guards, fairly intelligent.

E)The Mage
Feather color: Golden-Brown with black spots
Breed: Flammulated Owl
Eye color: Chocolate brown
Backstory: Having found her talent in magic at a young age, she has trained for several years. Not having much experience with the outside world, she must venture out anyways, if she is to learn more than her forest village can teach her. She seeks the knowledge to expand her magical ability beyond what most griffins can.

Just to make sure that you all understand, you should place your votes in the following format:

Favorite: <Character 1 Name>
Backstory: <Character 2 Name>
Huggable: <Character 3 Name>
<Reason Favorite is your favorite>
