Calling For Help: "Everypony's Teeth Are Bucked"

With the state of the world, only a matter of time before I needed to get familiar with how GoFundMe works.

I've started one for a loved one needing dental surgery for both themselves and a beloved pet. In both cases, things are only going to get worse if not taken care of, and it costs money she doesn't have. She told me that the last time she tried to get help for something, she was shamed for it, and so gave me permission to make this only with great reluctance.

It's hard to ask for help, especially when you expect that you'll just be kicked when you're down instead of offered a hand up. It took insistence that I would handle things and she wouldn't have to directly deal with people at all to get her to give me the greenlight to try, and her expectations are so low they're underground thanks to that prior experience. But she's been backed into a corner, considered selling her car even though she needs it to get to her medical appointments, because it feels like she's out of options.

We're all struggling these days, but if you're able to spare a dollar or two, or even just willing to spread the word, I'm grateful.

(Not looking forward to getting my own teeth checked out. I'm overdue. But one crisis at a time, or in this case, two.)

I also wanted to say that, if you'd like to get some writing for your money, I'm opening the option to commission me and specify that the money go toward those bills rather than to me. It'll make me happy if I can put my writing ability to work for her sake.
