To End a Cycle Chapter 10 & What's Next (Spoilers)

Hey all,

Thanks to everypony who supported chapter 10 of To End A Cycle! I wanted to make a quick blog post in regards to the future of the story and also cover a few Easter eggs that I included in the chapter. If you have not read chapter 10 or any of the previous ones for that matter, make sure you catch up on them before reading this blog.

First off, the song that I had Flurry sing early on in the chapter was actually inspired by the song featured in Helluva Boss season 1 episode 2 "You will be okay". Of course the theme and lyrics are entirely different, but I wanted to keep a similar atmosphere as I felt it was fitting for Flurry after the disaster that happened late in Chapter 9. I mentioned that the chapter took half a month to write, and I wasn't kidding. The song took the majority of that time. Yes, I could have avoided it altogether, but as MLP FIM includes a song usually every movie and some episodes, I figured it would make sense to have several songs in this fanfic.

Now on to the spoilers... Starting with the wedding itself. I mentioned that the Crystal Square was where coronations were held in the Empire. I'm essentially making this spot similar to Westminster Abbey in England. The thing is, the only ruler I think would have ever been crowned here before Flurry and Sombra would be Princess Amore over 1000 years ago. In any case as I mentioned in my author's note I tried to make this event similar to the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge William and Kate Middleton. I followed that event live many years ago and really liked the way it was handled.

Although I'm not a very religious person, I appreciate the subtle traditions that go into weddings and figured I'd include many of them. Granted Equestria does not have a religion except for maybe worshiping the two sisters (Celestia and Luna) But as they are retired, I assume this tradition no longer exists.

I once again based Flurry's appearance at the wedding to Kate Middleton. Her manestyle is very similar to Kate's half-up hairstyle. I actually had to get help from my girlfriend with this part as she is a barber and likes to talk about different styles with me whenever we go out.

As for the dress, I actually based Flurry's wedding dress on my Mother's during her wedding to my Dad. She still has the photos and I absolutely loved the design so I made it similar here. I imagine this was some of Rarity's finest work yet.

The ring bearer as some may have assumed was Lil' Cheese but I couldn't really think of anypony to make the Flower girl so I just added a random Filly Unicorn.

Lastly for Easter eggs, the song played after Sombra and Flurry kiss was a popular MLP Youtube remix that I saw years ago called "I am Octavia" Based on David Guetta and Sia's "Titanium". I felt like it'd be cool to include something created by another Brony in the story. Not to mention it makes a lot of sense that Songbird Serenade is featured as she is voiced by Sia herself.

That does it for the spoilers, now on to the second part of the blog. I feel that I will write another 2 chapters for this story at the most. Moving forward though, I have another My Little Pony fanfic planned after it already called "The Blood Doctor". This fanfic will focus mainly on two OC's of mine and will be a Horror/Drama/Romance fic. Unlike To End a Cycle it will not focus on current canon characters so some of you may like it and others may not.
