Have I ever told yall how awesome Miraculous Ladybug is? · 2:22am Mar 15th, 2023
So, funny thing right;
I've been properly into Miraculous since very late 2018, just after Season 2 had ended. I had first found it wayyyy back in 2016 when Season 1 was still fresh, but didn't think much of it.
I think it was actually the Season 2 finale hype that was going around the Internet and I ended up finding out about it, and I gotta say, it's a great show!
No, it's absolutely nowhere near the caliber that MLP G4 is nor will it ever be, but for its target audience... It does a brilliant job! The show is currently on Season 5, which started back in October 2022... I didn't know this, and fell out of keeping up with news back when Season 4 ended in March, so about a year ago now.
Anyone who knows how Miraculous airs their episodes knows how much of an utter clusterf*** it is. They release in random order, and typically not in English. The English dub (which, fun fact, has Bryce Papenbrook as Adrien, who also plays Nagito in Danganronpa! I was shocked hearing him upon playing Goodbye Despair) usually comes out much later, sometimes even months after the episode originally aired in French for example.
So, to get to the point, I've just been on a massive binge of Season 5 after a year-long hiatus from watching it. These new episodes have been some of the most fast-paced and action packed episodes yet, seriously!
Me, personally, I can find enjoyment from literally anything. That's just my outlook on life, I guess. And again, Miraculous definitely isn't a fleshed out universe like MLP is, and definitely doesn't have such a creatively diverse fanbase, but the show itself is great for some light hearted entertainment. So, I can highly recommend it if you're already into pretty much any cartoon that has a niche adult following, because you'll most certainly find it enjoyable too.
I just thought I'd put this out there, since a quick search of Miraculous crossover stories yields miniscule results, there's maybe ten total stories on the site, so the fanbase overlap has gotta be small
