February 6th, 2023 - A Study of Smart & Social
When we were younger, Shiny was envious of my intellect. He never did anything about it or even let it show, but I could tell. He’s my BBBFF.
BBBFF. Big Brother Best Friend Forever? It’s a Light family thing.
At Crystal Prep, you were always encouraged to be the best. However, when you were the best, everyone else envied you because that meant they weren’t the best. It was just this vicious cycle repeating itself.
March 2023 - The Bit
And that’s when Princess Platinum found gold.
Gold was found not just in caves, but at the bottom of mountains, too. It was easier to mine than jewels and was not prone to breaking. Platinum mined the gold herself, cut it up in pieces and fashioned small, round coins for easier use. That was the earliest form of modern currency.
So imagine Rustyʼs surprise when he received a summon to his office last Tuesday, one from Her Royal Majesty, Princess Twilight Sparkle herself. She had asked for a private meeting with him in her castle in the capital.
Rusty was apprehensive. He was still new to this job. To have a meeting with the Princess this early in his career? Surely something was wrong. Right? He tried not to worry too much.
April 2023 - Detective Pinkie Pie and the Pastry Switcheroo
Spike has been doing some help for Pinkie Pie lately. And as a thank-you, she’s baked him a treat: a half-dozen gem-laced cupcakes. There’s red velvet ruby, there’s blueberry sapphire, there’s emerald chocolate-chip.
Or at least, there were. She was only distracted in Sugarcube Corner for an instant, really! But it was long enough that when she turned around, Spike’s box was gone, and another box of ordinary cupcakes was in its place.
Well, no matter. Detective Pinkie is going to track down this Pastry Switcheroo and solve the issue! Hopefully before any teeth are broken.
