Farewell Everyone · 2:56am Feb 4th, 2023
So this should come as a surprise to absolutely no one. But now that To Save a Life is complete, I'm leaving Fimfiction. The truth of the matter is that I've simply lost my passion for fanfiction in general now that I've started writing my own original content. It just doesn't compare. I still love the show, and I'll probably pop in from time to time, but my fanfic writing days are over. I regret that I have to leave Shine and Spark unfinished, but the story(ies) I'm working on now is ten times as good at least. That said, this ending is very bittersweet.
I've had a lot of ups and downs on this site. I had my first taste of fame and criticism. And my first commission. This was when I first realized I had fans. And one of my fics made it all the way to Obabscribbler's youtube channel, something I never would have expected in a million years. But, all good things must come to an end, and it's time for me to move on.
Goodbye, everyone. May the Magic of Friendship blossom in all of your lives.

We’ll all miss you! Good luck and stay safe!
We will miss you!!!!
I'll miss you and your story most of all.
Good luck and thanks for the stories. Always sad to see the fandom die a little more as time goes on but it is what it is.
Before you leave, can you at least leave an outline of how Shine and Spark would have played out and ended?

Shine was going to lead up to Adagio basically playing both sides against each other. Which Sunset would eventually figure out. A clash between Demon Sunset and Adagio would end with the latter's victory due to her greater experience. Sunset would gain a closer bond with her friends to truly understand magic. But before she would be able to beat Adagio, the siren would have revealed that defeating her would also set Principal Celestia free from her spell, which is the only reason Sunset wasn't sent to prison. So Sunset would have had to choose between keeping Celestia enthralled and staying at Canterlot or setting her free and putting herself at risk of losing all of progress.
Spark would have focused on Twilight in the human world, struggling to deal with increasing feelings of inadequacy now that Sunset has redeemed herself. She'd grow more and more worried that Sunset's taking her place and that Celestia doesn't need her anymore. This would get catastrophic.
I've enjoyed your stories and wish you all the best in this next part of your life. Live well and long and happy. See ya Zero, it's been good to read from you!
