    Thank You

So my latest short, "More Than An Alicorn", got featured for like 2 whole days. I'm not sure I've ever been featured before so BIG thank you to everyone who enjoyed the story. I honestly did not expect it to do so well. Not that I didn't put any care into the short, it's just that I had originally intended it to be another flash fic for my current anthology collection. Which, if you're not

    My Brother is Dying

To be fair, we all sort of knew this was coming. My brother started dialysis about 2 years ago because he has kidney failure and, for reasons I won't go into here, he is simply not eligible for a transplant. Once you start dialysis you're expected to live about 10 to 15 years. If you're lucky. So we all thought he had around another 10.

    Another Reference Image?

Apparently some people really liked seeing one of my thrown together reference images. So, for the heck of it, here's the next one.

When You Slowly Lose Your Mind

You know, as an writer of stories where the relative sizes of characters is important, I often slap together reference images to help me. Without them it can be hard to visualize what is even possible in the story. They are also crucial when maintaining a consistent and realistic description of events and actions.

    City in Her Chair Rewrite

I almost doubled the word count so it is no longer just a bloated flash fic. It is now a proper short story with a much better flow! I added a lot of detail to the city, had Green tease them much more (including a short booty dance), and in general slowed the pace of the action way down. This time it is a FAR more exciting story and definitely worth reading if you haven't already or were a

2023

Self Review · 2:29am Jan 19th, 2023

Not sure what inspired it, but I decided to do a little math about my writing history.

I started writing in 2013, output peaking around 2015-2016. Nothing was published in 2019 or 2020. Then returned towards the end of 2021.

From 2013 to 2021 I published a little more than 150,000 words of content.

In 2022 alone I published a little more than 120,000 words of content.

So I almost doubled my total published word count in one year. Though "word count" shouldn't be the priority for a good writer, believe me it is easy to add "fluff", I am proud of myself.

I'd like to publish at least one thing each week, though I think I should be striving for more than that. I've got so many stories I want to tell, but motivation and time are a real jerk. Which is weird. How can you really want to tell a story yet have no drive to actually write it? I don't know. Maybe its more of a case of procrastination. Keep yelling at me to get work done everyone. Believe it or not, I think that actually helps me.

Here is to a new even more productive year!

I know I don't say it enough, but thank you for reading my stories and I hope I have or will write something you enjoy.

As to those who want to request or commission, I will not be doing either until I've finished the works I have already promised. Also, I will not be doing a survey again. While a fun idea, it takes too long to do a bunch of stories like that and it just gets everyone's hopes up while making them wait. It's very rude. So that is a lesson learned.

Stories that have been promised:

Under "Her" Skirt (~2 chapters remain)
Big Hot Teacher (possibly multiple chapters)
Celestia Likes to Watch (possibly multiple chapters)
Biggest Grinch
Population Control
Macro Mare Modeling Agency (major project)
