Happy New Year! · 6:38am Jan 1st, 2023
First I want to wish everyone and Happy New Year! I hope 2023 would be great.
Next, I know some of you are already aware, but I just found out yesterday that the Pokemon Anime Series is finishing up with Ash and Pikachu adventures. The Pokemon Company already said that they weren't going to bring back Ash for the 9th Gen. They are bringing in new characters this time. Japan is giving Ash and Pikachu 11 more episodes for they wrap their adventure up this month on the 13. And I think the US is going to give the English dub it's ending in April. So after 25 years, 8 Pokemon leagues, and a lot of friends, Ash's journey has finally come to a close. I do know one thing, everyone will miss him.
The only thing I know about the characters taking over for Ash are their names. Liko (Sometimes spelled as Riko) and Roy. I also heard that Liko is theorized to be Ash's Daughter, due to the pin on her hair. With her mother possibly being Serena, due to how close she looks. However, nothing has been confirmed at this point. I've always been a fan of Pokemon, I do play the games, and though I don't watch like I used to, I also watch the anime. So, goodbye Ash Ketchum, You truly are a Pokemon Master!
So what are your guy's thoughts about this? As I said, I just found out, so I'm a little late to the punch. I'll admit it is a surprise to see that they are finally moving on with Ash. I know some fans were kind of hoping they finally did, but I also know a lot of people grew up with Ash on his journey. I do hope that Liko and Roy could bring the same kind of adventures that Ash did. Even if it is not confirmed that Liko is Ash's daughter.
I feel the same as you do, I'm gonna miss Ash and Pikachu as much as MLP Gen 4 - both franchises are like, my life, LOL. And it would be nice if Amourshipping stayed canon XD.
Same with me, ash has come so far on his journey, I just wish he stayed for this next series, still it’s been a long road ahead and an amazing journey. Just like mlp gen 4, gonna miss him a lot.
Yeah Happy New Year to you too and yeah cannot believe after 25 years Ash is going away.
