I don't have much to say on this episode in particular. It wasn't grand or spectacular, and if you take it in the context of the entire show, it doesn't stand out in any specific way. In all honesty, it does its job of establishing world-building more than anything. For context Twilight's old library Golden Oaks has been destroyed, and this was a special place for her as it was where she lived until Tirek's attack. This was where she made fond memories with her friends and has grown as a pony. Now that it's gone and Twilight lives in a castle she never asked for; it's caused her to have anxiety residing in it. It makes a lot of sense as this episode isn't needed, but it's great that it exists. If I were in her shoes, I would feel the same way, as it's instead a massive change from season 3, when she became a princess. There wasn't much regarding her having to adapt to that change. Now with this castle, it's becoming more obvious she is growing into a role as a leader of the pony race and has to adapt to her new responsibilities. Again this episode shows that despite putting their best intentions at heart regarding them, this episode shows that her friends are trying to fill the castle with things they like. They neglected the idea that this should be about Twilight, which they rectified, making ornaments with pictures engraved on them showing their fond memories with each other in Golden Oaks. This shows that Twilight will always have her friends, who will be there for her regardless of how things change. So overall, this was a touching and heartfelt episode, and I much enjoyed it.

I thought it was adorable that Fluttershy gave her stuffed animals.
Spike is the GOAT in this episode as he distracted Twilight the entire time as her other friends tried redecorating the castle.
Change is hard.
