Call me ungrateful if you want, but compared to the original’s wonderful reception, this is a bit disappointing. To everypony who has liked, commented, and favorited, thank you so much for all your feedback and I really appreciate it. It’s no surprise though that this one isn’t even over 200 views as of now compared to the original’s massive 457 views. I’ve had to rely entirely on the marketing to get this one traction and it’s honestly sort of crushing. If this is the slow traction “Forgiven” is going to receive, then I feel extremely reluctant to release it this Sunday. Unless there’s still an audience for Misty stories and generational crossover stories, then the future of the Misty Saga is in jeopardy. I love writing these stories and they’re basically my passion projects, so it is kind of crushing when you got a success on your hooves and the direct sequel doesn’t perform nearly as well. Two installments left…I really don’t want to end the saga early, so when do you guys think would be the best time to release “Forgiven?”
“Izzy Moonbow Beyond The Multiverse of Randomness” has began writing, but I’m currently lacking the motivation to continue due to my disappointment. I’m starting to think the original was lightning in a bottle that you can’t recapture. Perhaps turning this into a trilogy was not a good idea. Again, let me know if you guys have any advice, thanks. 
I'm still yet to give this Multiverse series a proper read, so I'm not sure what to tell you in that regard. All I know is that I've been on board this Misty Saga ever since I read Worthless, and I've been excited for Forgiven ever since. I'll be really disappointed if I don't get to see it

Worthless has more views than the two multiverse stories combined. That’s something to keep in mind. Another thing to remember is that the first multiverse story has been out for almost a month while the new one has only been out for five days. I checked and the first story only had 238 views in the same time frame which isn’t that much more. Also, the new story actually got more views on its first day than the first story got on its first day.

Every One just obsesses over G5 and its hirrifying appearance. I am cry.

Thanks for your encouragement. I’m definitely still going to release Forgiven, that much is certain. I’d have to give myself a REALLY compelling reason as to why I shouldn’t release it when it’s already done and ready to go, so you’ll definitely see it. I’m just worried that the audience for this sort of thing has moved on at this point due to the lack of stuff to look forward to G5 related from Netflix’s end. I love writing those stories, but they’re only worth going the extra mile over because of readers like you who enjoy and love reading them.
Of course, if Forgiven performs well, then more stuff will be greenlit immediately. With two installments left in the saga after Forgiven, it’s a pretty big gamble to take. But as long as the feedback and readers come in, then these stories will keep coming.

That’s actually a really good point. Perhaps I am overthinking this a little bit. Perhaps the premise just wasn’t that intriguing as this series is in itself a departure from the dark and introspective stories that I usually write. Again, I don’t want to sound ungrateful at all, I just worry about the audience for this sort of stuff not being around anymore when I’m not even done with this saga, you know what I mean?

You’re completely right. This is just the first time a story hasn’t performed well to my standards in a long time. The divisive response to “Trials of the Force” caused me to put it on hold for a long time and the slower performance of “Izzy Moonbow Across The Multiverse of Randomness” is surprising considering the last one did so well. I don’t know, I guess I’m just shocked more than anything considering the other one-shots in both the Mane Five Saga and the Misty Saga have done so well.

That’s good. Personally, I think G5’s quality will improve as it continues just as G4 did with its later seasons.

I hope so too. Personally, I feel like G4 will be continued someday. I think the inly reason the show ended is because companies like Google killed Flash. That would explain why the ending seems rushed.
