I’m in a writing group and we’re having an Nano contest. I thought I was doing really well with at least 1.6k in my novel and 2k over all a day! But nooooo one of them has been doing 6k a day! SIX THOUSAND WORDS! That’s triple what I’m pumping out. HOW is she doing this?
In other news, I found another thing with a deadline to work on! Sofa and Quills Speedwriting is doing a thanksgiving Collab where one of the rules is that we can’t use the same characters in any of our stories. I snatched up some choice candidates so I’m pretty excited about that. The deadline in at the end of the month so I’ll have to get cranking on that one too.
Writing tip: Having a designated time and/or place for writing away from your everyday hussle and bussle can really shift your brain into gear.
