The Ten Year Project · 4:35am Nov 5th, 2022
It's finally happening.
For those who remember, I've been working on an animation project just shy of ten years now. It's been a passion project, in so many words, for such a large part of my adulthood. I remember the early years in my apartment, trying to set aside time each night to get it just a little further a long. How laughable that I used to think I could get one of these out every year and be a player in the world of brony animation. Right now I feel like I'm standing small in a ghost town lol. But, at the end of the day, this project was always meant for me. It's just an added bonus that we live in a world where I can share such things with everyone.
This last year or so I stopped other projects I've been working on so I could get this one wrapped up. Knowing that the ten-year anniversary is coming up put a fire under my seat, and I still just barely eked by with it. I mean, arguably I had two more months, but come on now, we're getting into the holidays; I can't be expected to plug all my free time into anything then
For those interested, my friends at The Barcast have agreed to my selfish request to live stream the premiere with them. After all the time spent on this and that group giving me more support than anyone, I can't imagine a better way to experience the premiere than with my friends. If you'd like to get in on the action, you can tune into their Twitch channel live on January 6th, 2023 at 6pm CST. The video will premiere 30 minutes after the cast starts, so we'll have some time to chat up a few things before it gets going. The video is just under seven minutes long. After that will be plenty more time to discuss and take Q&A. I can't wait to share all the stories of triumphs and frustrations I've built working on this thing
In the meantime, if you want more details and a mini preview on the project itself, you can always check out the interview I did with The Barcast's Mug Shots (...Jesus...) five years ago:
Hope to see some of you at the premiere! And, if not, feel free to leave a comment or something on the video afterwards. I won't ask you to like and subscribe, because I genuinely don't see myself putting out more content like this for a very long time, if ever again. But hey, never say never, I suppose
Wow, yours is a name I haven't seen in a long time. Glad to see you're still knocking around though, and that you're close to wrapping up something that means so much to you!
Let's GOOOO
