What scares you the Most · 7:14am Oct 31st, 2022
Hello all.
Recently, in a Discord Chat with friends, the question of what villains or characters from your favorite shows scare you or what do they represent that scares you so I pose that question here. What character from your favorite show scares or represents the thing you fear the most?
Examples:
Mate of mine-Show: Nero Wolfe Whodunit? Character: Guy Unger. He said that it always disturbed him how real he was and how any of us could go down that road of being such a vile Wasteheap in a society of people and how we can take advantage of someone's situation to make not only money, but get even with those who threaten or compromise our project and feel no emotion, even when confronted. How we can merely throw around our weight-whether that be money or power to get what we want, no matter the cost in terms of bodies or ruined careers.
For me-Diesel from Thomas the Tank engine and Friends (More Specifically the Railway Series): His words of "We Are Revolutionary" are commonly used when talking about the newest phone or car or game console or ship or whatever you want. But it goes one step beyond that. Diesel represents our willingness to forget who we are and where we came from or where we are going and who we are destined to become. But it's more than that, as he represents the real world of the 1950's and 60's, where we were so quick to abandon essentially one of our creations (the steam engines) for a new one (the diesels) and our obsession with not only moving forward, but getting rid of what holds us back. He represents our greatest demons and how we can't escape them or even face them alone. There are days where I can't even look at photos of him without literally seeing myself in his position, spitting the same venom and vitriol and watching the chaos and damage unfold with great glee.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------So to reiterate the question-What character from your favorite show scares or represents the thing you fear the most?
Time to bear yourself vulnerable and face your demons head on.
I always feared Chrysalis, especially after the S6 finale, where she kidnapped the six. I remember growing up being exposed to fanart of changelings converting ponies into them, which at the time I didn't know was head-canon(and I didn't see seasons 1-4), so I grew weary of the changeling queen.
So you can imagine the dread I felt when I saw the six cocooned in To Where and Back Again.
